1957 Ford Fairlane Additional Info:

We have a 57 ford fairline retractable been in garage for years . Solid body, good trim, some cracks in paint we can get more photos. Can find out more of the history selling for parents. We just pulled out of garage has been sitting for a few put a battery in and some fuel and started up. Noted a gas leak when tried fill up would say it needs a tank and a starter/flywheel. Ihad to give starter tap to engage. retractable works fine and has the tire if interested please write have a few pics now will gets some more . Very busy please give time to respond. We have an appraisal from 2006, which received was noted as very original condition except that the motor and transmission. We are having troubles trying to figure out what the replacement motor is, the appraisal states it as 494 CI, but after many scratched their heads, we are not completely certain. We were told that the original one was recalled and was replaced by Ford. The average mark received was a B. This really hasn't moved since that time frame except for a customary drive around the block to make sure it was still in running order. The interior is alright with some tears behind the front seats. Buyer is responsible for arranging pick up. We might be able to help on that end depending on when and where you are located. Please serious buyers only. This isa great piece of history. If you have seen this on ebay before we did get a new starter, thinking this may be the problem, but the more we learned, we decided to have the carb rebuilt. Hopefully it will be healthy again after we get the old gas out of there. We almost had it fired up with the new starter, but didn't want to push it.We also have a whole lot of extra parts that we got along with it. I am unsure of what they are and really haven't gone through them, but if you want them with the purchase of this vehicle they are yours. I will be working on it this weekend, and will revise as I go. Thank you for your interest and have a nice day.
