1947 Ford Other Additional Info:

This is a 1947 Ford 1 1/2 ton flatbed truck I recently aquired in a trade deal and I'm just not into Ford trucks. It is amazingly rust free and would make a very nice addition to somebodies collection.Truck has not ran in years and has a 49-53 Mercury V8 engine in it. The engine is froze and I have not tried to break it free. The radiator was missing and the hood has been taken loose of the truck so I suspect somebody was preparing to pull the motor before it was parked. The doors are very nice with no rust. The grille is also very nice. They screwed a piece of wire mesh screen over it to keep out the wheat chaff. Since it came from a central washington wheat farm, they also cut the exhaust through the inner fenders and out the top of the front fenders to keep the exhaust away from the stubble fields. The fenders otherwise are very nice and should not be too difficult to repair. The cab will need more work. It has a dented in top which is normal, but also needs repair where the cab mounted "turn signal" had been at one time. From what I have seen recently in completed auctions, the doors, hood, and grille are about worth what I am starting the entire truck at.Truck has the standard 4 speed transmission, but also has had a 3 speed auxiliary transmission (Over/Direct/Under) added. This actually does you better than the 2 speed rear axle (which it does not have), as it gives the pulling power of the underdrive but also lets you make better road speed empty with the overdrive.Truck comes with a clear signed off Washington state title. Please look at the pictures and if you need something more clarified, contact me.No reserve auction. Shipping is strictly at the buyers expense and effort. I can assist in loading at my end. Local pickup is best.Down payment through paypal of $200 is due within 48 hours of auction end. Full payment required in cash or other guaranteed funds before release of the truck or title. If it makes it easier to ship, I can remove the flatbed and dispose of it.
