Desirable and special are good words to describe this ol girl...lets start with what makes it that way,in 1970 it is rare to see a ford f series with factory a/c power steering and power disc brakes,than add xlt package which has wood grain inserts inside and out lots of chrome every where around the drip rails windshield fender moldings even the tail lights got accents.throw in the camper special package with the 390ci c6 combo and all the fixings like side tool box cargo light heavy duty springs radiator brakes and you got one of the best trucks ever built in America...of course it tops out one one the best decades for America with the pinnacle colors turquoise and white what could say we are Great better than this truck.me personally this was one of the best trucks ever built,watch the classic movie Mr majestic with Charles Bronson.ford was the best built truck ever in 1970.my opinion every buddy's got one ...48 years old this truck is not restored but it dose run and drive.it stops straight the carb probably needs to be upgraded seems like it needs more fuel.probably got changed along the way and is to small for this application.could use a new muffler. a good set of heads were installed on the engine,all tune up done including carb rebuild distributor was upgraded to a magnetic pick up. transmission shifts great rear end is quite.the body is pretty solid but there is some rust in the drivers door sil,and some damage behind the passenger rear quarter panel.some small damage in the grill windshield is cracked.interior is showing its age.this truck was so well built that it amazes me how good it feels to drive it.if your looking for a good old truck to use around the farm or home this is a great one to have,or if you want to restore this one even better,because i am going to sell it to the highest bidde, four 3 five 2one eight 1three5 seven for any questions tks.mike
