Description

This was my granddad’s farm truck. The odometer shows 32,453 miles. I don’t know if that is the actual mileage, or if it is 132,453. I’ve had the truck since the early 1980s, and have driven it sparingly over the years. It has the 292-V8, and 3-on-the-tree. I last had it worked on about 10 years ago: a new carb kit, clutch work, and the gas tank was cleaned out and refurbished. The radiator was re-cored in the 1980s.

After that work, I drove it occasionally. Over time, clutch fluid leaked out, as well as coolant, and then fuel—probably rotted or varmint chewed hoses/lines. I think that replacing those hoses/lines will go a long way toward getting this truck going again. NOTE: Currently, the truck does not run!

There are some spare parts in the tool box mounted above the truck bed (included), including one windshield wiper arm, and the wheel covers (2 of the wheel covers have the red plastic center piece missing). Also, the piece that allows the spare tire to be mounted to the inside of the bed is there, and there is a spare tire. 3 of the 5 tires are dry rotted, and need to be replaced. The right outside mirror glass is broken. Included is door weatherstripping that was never applied. I installed seat belts years ago.

There are dents and rust here and there, including rust damage under the hood edges, and the step-ups to the cab, and some on the floor. The tailgate is dented and crooked, and the left tailgate chain connection broke and is missing. The right passenger door is a little hard to open/close. The right window crank is not attached, and I believe it is in the glove box. The rear window glass has a big crack in it. I can’t remember if most of the dash indicators work, but the gas gauge did not work, so I always used a wooden dowel as a dip stick, to check the gas level in the tank.

Nonetheless, it is a solid old truck, and would be a great project truck for restoration.

1) Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. I have made a good faith effort to describe the truck, both in written description and photos. However, I have not listed or shown every single dent, rust spot, or defect.

2) This truck is being sold with no existing or future warranty—expressed, written or implied.

TO BE SOLD, AS IS—WHERE IS!

3) I’ve read that a VIN or serial number plate is on the passenger frame rail, but I can’t find it. The truck has been registered in the State of Georgia, ever since I have owned it, through 2016.

4) Since there is no title for this truck, seller requires Bill of Sale, to be filled out and signed by both the seller and buyer. Must be completed before transfer of truck ownership, and buyer takes possession of truck.

5) Buyer is responsible for all arrangements and costs associated with eBay vehicle purchase, documentation, and pick up. The truck has been stored in a warehouse for the past 3 years in Decatur, GA.

6) By bidding on this truck, you are agreeing to my terms stated in this truck description! Non-paying high bidder will be reported to eBay, and negative feedback will be posted. Seller reserves the right to reject bids made by those with zero, low, or negative feedback.

NOTE: If using PayPal, buyer is responsible for the 4% fee. If non-refundable $500 deposit within 24 hrs of auction close is not made by high bidder, seller reserves the right to sell it to the next highest bidder, or re-list the truck.
