1978 Ford F-250 Additional Info:

For Auction:

Rare 1978 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special Edition Extended Cab. This is a really clean Southern California Truck. I shipped it out to SW Missouri just shy of two years ago. This truck was originally brown, painted years ago (before I bought it). Paint is white now and in pretty good shape, some chips some scratches. If you are looking for this kind of truck it has very little rust throughout. I drove it everyday as my daily driver. Runs good, everything works... lights etc...has NO air conditioner. Engine shows just over 88,000 miles. Not sure if it's turned over or if this is the original miles. Engine is 400 V8. Tires are about 6 months old (SuperTraxon 18") with American Racing rims 8 lug. Also you will find in the truck bed is a 5 wheel trailer mount plate. Since I've owned it, the only things I have replaced are the 4 tires, battery, gave it a tune up and a new starter. It leaks a small amount of oil (few drops). The transmission leaks at the engine gasket. Local quotes to repair/replace gasket is approx $600. I never fixed just checked fluids periodically. Chrome is good, Interior is in good shape for its age (Not perfect). Nothing really out of the ordinary to mention. Normal wear and tear. The seat belts have been replaced. Back wing windows are pop out. Back large window is solid.

To the best of my knowledge this truck has never been in an accident. Really no surface rust in the bed, the color you see in the photos is a result of the original brown copper color under the white paint. And by the windows (Photo) is basically the rust on the truck around the cab welds/windows/rain gutter. and barely into the paint. In most terminology the rust is very minimal. the last picture with the tape measure shows the worst part on the drivers rain gutter. Again in the usual suspect areas. Some chips of paint off at windshield but no rust. The interior has a bench seat front and back. Front is a split bench. All the windows roll and function. Garage kept and stored. Practically all original. I also have the original ignition key and tuck manual.
