1993 Ford Mustang Summer Special Additional Info:

This car says Saleen on the windshield, but it screams it everywhere else! From the top of the custom roll cage to the bottom of the Saleen body kit, and from the front of the built motor to the chrome tips of the free-flow exhaust, this car has all the right go-fast goodies in all the right places.
The yellow on this car jumps out at you, even from a distance. That's because it is a special, Summer Edition Mustang convertible. One of only 1503 ever born that color! But in true hot-rodding tradition, it was just begging for more. So, it got more, starting with a Saleen body kit and stripes along with a complete repaint. The kits front air dam has functional air scoops to keep the brakes and engine cool because they need it! (more on those later.). The rear wing, along with a diffuser below it, work together with the front dam to keep the car stable at speed. Lowenhart, 18-inch, 3-piece chrome wheels with 265/35s in the back, and 235/40s in the front, fill out the fenders rather nicely and give the car a solid stance. When the roof is down, you can see the top of the Jamie Lewis Racing roll cage, and while everyone has chrome exhaust tips that look good, very few make sounds as nice as these do.
Open the door, notice the Saleen seats with, "Power in the Hands of a Few", embroidered on them, and sit down if you dare. Once you do, the rest of the interior will look and feel comfortable, especially to Ford fans. There is a beefy leather wrapped steering wheel with a clear view of the gauges, which have white faces in this case, and a shifter that falls easily to hand. Controls are all logically placed and within reach. Power windows and locks with cruise control and air bags will make you feel like you are in a regular Mustang. Then your friends will want to go for a ride with you, and if the roof is down, they will probably jump into the back seat over the roll cage to join the fun. That's about the time when you will look up through the windshield, see the Saleen banner across the top, and remember that this ain't no regular Mustang!
That becomes obvious when you pop the hood on this car. It starts at the very front with a Griffin three core radiator, but gets pretty radical pretty quickly from there. What you can see is a Saleen upper intake, AFR aluminum heads, March pulleys, MSD ignition, CSI electric water pump, and maybe the MIllidon 7-quart racing pan if you look closely. What you don't see are the Probes crank, rods, and pistons, and the roller rocker setup. The headers look sweet, but the rest of the superb Bassani exhaust system is out of sight. There is a TKO 600 Tremec 5 speed trans outputting to an aluminum driveshaft and 3:73 gears to handle all the extra power, and Cobra 4-wheel disc brakes to slow all those horses down. The suspension was upgraded too with coil over shocks and adjustable camber plates, working through tubular control arms and a tubular K member. Then it all goes to the ground through those low-profile tires.
Describing this car doesn't do it justice. C'mon down and take a look. This car is awesome and needs to experienced in person.
