This is a beautiful V8 Ford Super Deluxe Two-Door Sedan in a remarkable original configuration. This lovely machine sports an older restoration which has been incredibly well kept and has been dearly prized. This car certainly gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes, being a rolling piece of history.

In the early 1970's this car was purchased by Wisconsin-native Eldor Ponto - a placard with his name sits below the radio honoring his loving preservation of this Sedan.

In the last 10 years or so, this car was restored as you see it today. A few things were added, such as an additional electric fuel pump to supplement the original mechanical one. Most significantly it received some typical attention to the engine - a replaced rear main seal in particular was on the list of tasks - this job is a bit of a chore on these motors. With these things sorted, this car once again became a beautiful leak-free example of a classic American sedan, and remains so today.

After the restoration, the car was sold to Eldor's acquaintence, Anthony Resch, also here in central Wisconsin. The car reminded Anthony of his youth - 1948 was the year he and his wife were married so he felt compelled to give it a good home. While the car is certainly appreciated by the current collector, it doesn't see the road more than a dozen times each summer and is being offered for sale in hopes that it both remains original and continues to be driven now and again.

This Super Deluxe runs and drives superbly well and sounds simply fantastic. The handling is quite crisp for a car of this vintage with suspension smooth enough to remind you of the gold ol' days. The interior is clean and comfortable making this a summertime favorite which will be dearly remembered.

The fluids and battery are fresh from this year. It should also go without saying that the tires, brakes, electrical etc are also in good order as well.

This car has received a full inspection with a test drive to ensure safety and reliability.
