1935 Ford Other Pickups Cummins 4bt diesel Additional Info:

I have regretfully decided to sell my very dependable and attention getting rat rod. It is a 1935 Ford Pickup that has been chopped. It has a 1978 Camaro front end and 4 link coil over rear end with rear end from 1991 camaro with 2.58 gears. The drive train came from a Frito Lay Chip truck, box van. It had less than 90,000 on the 4bt Cummins turbo diesel with the 465 gm manual transmission. It had new starter, alternator, lift pump. The injector pump was professionally rebuilt. The motor is super strong and I would drive it anywhere. Have put over 90,000 miles on it and have been to over 5 states. It will get an easy 35 miles to gallon (cruising at 75) but even more Smiles To The Gallon. I have even run a 25% mix of filtered used motor oil. I have gotten over 20 trophies and it always draws a big crowd. This is a true "rat" that gets attention where ever you go. There are a ton of little things that you won't even notice in the pictures. The brake, gas and clutch are all wrenches. It has a "Vintage Air" system. It is an old coleman cooler with two fans that you put ice in. The fans blow the cold into the cab through the tube in the back. It really works. You could also turn this diesel up to twice the horsepower. I have kept the motor completely stock along with the pump. It has Cruise Control and electric windows!!! As you can see in the pics that it has a Christmas look. Rudolf the red-nose Rat Rod. The antlers are made from chain and has led lights on the antlers and grill. The antlers will just bolt on and off of the roof. I have an inverter in an old tool box in the back for the lights at Christmas time and the fans during summer for the red-neck A/C. It is also was set up with a flame thrower. I have a small propane tank I would put between the seat with a solenoid setup. It used a model A coil to fire the spark plug in the smoke stack. The coil went out and I have another but have not replaced it, so it is not working at this time. It also has an ahooga horn and fire siren. Wheelie bars and other stuff I have probably forgot about.
I am 6'1" tall and 205 pounds. I fit great in it, but if you were any bigger you might need to modify some things. The manual transmission is the old "granny" 4-speed. You start out in 2nd gear and don't need 1st unless you want to climb up a wall or pull a tree out of the ground. The gear shift is tall and has a grenade on the end of it. The clutch does push pretty hard. It could easily be converted to a hydraulic clutch but I'm used to it and it works great. The back tires are getting a little worn and could use a new set. They are diamond back drag radials with true white walls. The seats are upholstered with burlap bags (tow sacks) and the drivers side is a little worn. The passenger window just developed a couple of cracks and the front window is Lexan which will can easily be taken in and out. Or just replaced with a glass one for about $100. It does have it's leaks when it rains and some rattles when you are rollin coal, but you do get more "smiles to the gallon". The only reason I'm selling is that I'm in the middle of an ls swap in a 37 International Pickup and need the cash to do it right. If this doesn't sell, I will just slow down on the other project. If you want a unique vehicle that will literally go anywhere and if you ran out of diesel you could just poor some french fry oil in and keep going. It is the ultimate Zombie Apocalypse/ Mad Max vehicle. No electronics and could run on just about any oily liquid. Will gladly add more pictures and answer any questions. Please ask so you know what you are buying before you bid. I want to be as open an honest about the vehicle so you will be as excited about owning the vehicle as I've been. I have seen junk go for less than the buy it now price, so don't let it get away. Good luck and God Bless.
PS. The vehicle will be at Texas Motor Speedway for the Good-Guys car show Friday Sept. 30th to Sunday October 1st if you want to see it in person.
I will also be selling this through other services. I reserve the right to pull this add if it sells before this auction ends.

I've added a few pictures. One is of the 20 or so trophies that the car has won. I also added a pic of a tool box-boom box that I will award to the winner if the bid is over $12,500 and I will also give you the fenders. The fronts are like new and the rears have some rust in the back of them and there is a section riveted in to make them wider. I mentioned earlier that the passenger window had some cracks. The steering wheel also is missing most of the needle bearings at the steering wheel end so there is a little play up and down. I've gotten use to it but it is an easy fix. So if the bid goes to my original buy it now, which was $12,500 then I will give you $300 back to fix those couple of things. You will also get the boom box and the fenders if you want them. The fronts are worth $600 easy.
