This is another amazing example of our beautifully-restored early Ford 4x4 factory High Boy pickups; specifically a 1975 F-250 Custom, just completed and available for purchase. Featuring a rebuilt 390 4v high performance engine, serviced axles and automatic transmission, new brakes, new suspension, and more, this truck is ready to climb in and cruise. An extremely straight truck with no rust issues, beautiful straight body panels (proof is in the pictures!), and an outstanding high-quality RM Diamont two-stage base coat/clear coat paint job in factory-original S-code Midnight Blue Metallic finish. The truck is not only great-looking, but also in well-maintained daily-driver mechanical condition. Truly a gorgeous truck thatlooksalmostas good as it did back in the fall of 1974, on the dealer'sshowroom floor.

Having only two previous local owners since new, the truck sells with much of its' original paperwork still present, including the Ford window sticker, build sheet, warranty, and more. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for inspection, export, etc. Additional details as follows:

Body and Paint:

The restoration of this classic began with a very straight and rust-free local F250 4x4 High Boy, still wearing original Midnight Blue Metallic paint, so we could clearly evaluate the condition of the body. The truck was disassembled as necessary for the restoration process, including the removal of all the exterior trim and emblems, lights and side marker assemblies, grill surround and grills, and all glass, including the door side glass, wing window assemblies, front windshield, and back glass. Of course all the old weatherstrip and gasket material was removed as well. The bumpers, bumper brackets, and wheels were also removed. The wheels were sent out for sandblasting, followed by powder coating in correct factory Wimbledon White finish.

The complete interior was then removed, including the headliner and trim, dome light assembly, dash pad, dash trim, gauge cluster, glove box door, liner, and hardware, door panels, bench seat, carpet and sill panels, and seat belts. The doors, fenders, tailgate and hood were removed from the body as well for a full and correct factory-style repaint.

The original Midnight Blue Metallic paint was then sanded and removed as necessary for proper paint adhestion, and the body panels massaged to the beautiful condition you see today. The outstanding body work was performed by metal finishing panels as and where possible, with a view towards an absolute minimal application of body filler. The door hinges were rebuilt while the doors were off, then the doors, fenders, and hood were aligned to better-than-factory precision, and blueprinted for final assembly.

The fenders, hood, and doors were again removed again for paint on the underside surfaces prior to the full exterior repaint. The truck was then treated to a full and complete high-end 2-stage RM Diamont Midnight Blue Metallic paint job featuring three coats of base coat and three coats of high-solids clear coat to give the truck a beautiful and deep finish that far exceeds what it came with new. The interior sheet metal was also completely repainted to match.

The bed was also rust-free, and was treated to a brand-new Raptor spray-in bed liner. The underside of the truck was also nicely detailed, including the wheel well openings, axles, drivelines, etc. The floors, rockers, frame, cab mounts, corners, etc. are all in exceptional, rust free, and solid condition.

Exterior Trim:

The original fancy front chrome bumper was cleaned and polished and is in very nice survivor condition. The rear chrome step bumper is new; both installed with new hardware and restored bumper brackets. The original Ford stainless steel mid-size camper mirrors have been restored and mounted with new hardware, the exterior door handles and door locks are new, the antenna restored, and the emblems stripped, polished, and restored. The optional fancy wheel lip moldings are new and are beautiful against the Midnight Blue paint.

The aluminum grill surround and the optional fancy side trim were cleaned and polished, painted, and clear-coated. While not perfectly as-new, the trim is very good-looking, and suits the truck well.

The grills and headlamp bezels were restored, the headlamps replaced, the tail light lenses and bulbs replaced, the side marker assemblies and bulbs replaced, and the front marker lights and bulbs replaced with new. The bright aluminum trim around the tail lamp assemblies is also new. The wiper arms have been restored, with new wiper blades installed.

The tinted front windshield is new, the solid back glass new, and the door and wing windows are originals in good condition. The glass gaskets and seals have all been replaced. New door window felts and wipers were installed along with new window channel felts, as well as new door weather stripping to finish out the soft seal components.

Interior:

The beautifully-restored interior began with a full professional repaint of all metal painted surfaces, including the inside of the roof, A-pillars, insides of doors, door jambs, interior of cab, dash face, and glove box door. The dash pad was then restored and installed, the dash filler panel painted, and a new molded carpet kit installed.

The pedals were restored along with new pads, the seat frame restored with new foam, and the seat reupholstered in beautiful Celestion Blue vinyl sewn in the factory stitch pattern. The seat belts were cleaned and the vinyl housings dyed. The sun visors were restored, the rear view mirror restored, and a new headliner installed. The new dark blue door panels were installed with polished factory aluminum trim, new armrests, door hardware, and door lock pulls. The instrument gauge cluster lens was removed and polished, and the gauges cleaned. The gauges, turn signals, brake lights, headlights, heater, wiper, etc. are all in proper working condition. In short, the interior is just gorgeous!

Mechanicals/Drivetrain:

The engine is a rebuilt period-correct high performance 390 cubic inch 4V V8 in exceptional turn-key running condition, featuring a bigger RV cam and lifters, 9.5-1 compression ratio, performance valve job, 4v intake, new Edelbrock 4v carburetor, high-quality exhaust headers (no leaks), newer Flowmaster exhaust system, and electronic ignition. The engine sounds amazing, and is very responsive with fresh tune-up parts, fluids, and filters. The fuel pump is new, as are the alternator, battery, radiator, hoses, and belts. The engine features an Edelbrock chrome dress-up air cleaner and valve cover kit to make the detailed engine bay even more attractive.

The factory C6 automatic transmission has been serviced, and shifts as it should. The front and rear axles are the original Dana 60 /Spicer units with 4.10 gears, and have both been recently serviced. The truck is equipped with power assist steering, and power brakes, both of which are in good order. The truck is a pleasure to drive.

The truck drives very nicely for a big High Boy, and tracks straight down the road, and steers well. It stops well and straight, and is a lot of fun to drive. She turns heads wherever she goes.

The steel wheels are restored with a fresh, durable Wimbledon White powder coat finish, and wear very nice and properly-sized 35" x 12.5" BF Goodrich all terrain radial tires. The leaf springs have been rebuilt, and the suspension features new Rancho RS 5000 shock absorbers at all four corners, as well as a matching dual steering stabilizer kit.

While not an $100,000.00 nut-and-bolt frame-off “Concourse” restoration, this truck is absolutely gorgeous, arguably looks just about as good as new. She is going to make someone very happy. You won’t find your equal on the road, that is for sure.

Payment, Title, Shipping:

Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc.

While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 42-year-old classic truck, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. While the truck may appear as-new, it is a restored classuc vehicle, and not absolutely perfect; you can expect minor flaws as appropriate of a restored truck of this era.
