1966 Ford Galaxie 500 Additional Info:

You're looking at a very good start to a 1966 Ford Galaxie. This is a correct Z-code car, 390, automatic.
Here is some information on the as built details of the car from the factory:From the dataplate codes, here is VIN 6N66Z172751 as-built description: The vehicle model is the Galaxie 500 2-door hardtop (198,532 produced). It was Ford number 72751 built at the Norfolk, Virginia assembly plant during the 1966 model year (first VIN was 100001). As built, the engine was a 390-4V Thunderbird Special V-8 (315 hp@4600 rpm, 427 ft-lbs@2800 rpm, 10.5:1 compression ratio), backed by the C6 Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission with column shift, and driving through a 3.00:1 non-locking differential. It was finished with the Tahoe Turquoise exterior color, and the interior trim was bench seat with light aqua "Venetian" pattern vinyl cushions and light aqua "Crinkle" pattern vinyl bolsters and back. It had a scheduled build date of June 13, 1966, and the order was processed through the Richmond, Virginia district sales office, which covered southern Virginia and eastern North Carolina
I do believe the numbers are matching, but I didn't check and will leave the importance of that up to the potential buyer(s). It is originally a southern car(purchased in the 90's from Georgia), and it shows, the underside is better than new(resurfaced even). It is a project, although the only thing it's missing is a hood( I may have a fiberglass tear drop hood to include if the deal is right), it has many extra parts that you will have left over to sell. It does roll nicely, it has a completely rebuilt rear end, rebuilt suspension(front and back) and professional improvements made. It has most of the parts you will need to put it together(and many extras), but not everything(it's missing the hood for example, although I could be talked in to letting a nice fiberglass tear drop hood go with it, which is NOT included in the current auction so inquire within if this is a deal maker). It has larger diameter sway bars, boxed and improved torque arm mounts, new griffin aluminum radiator, brand new headers, brand new 20 gallon fuel cell. Extra seat assemblies in good condition(usable, one red red, one blue in color), 2 sets of extra fenders(some solid, some not so much), extra side glass(multiple sets), a mountain of the hard to find SS trim pieces, extra rear quarters(complete rear quarters cut from a very solid parts car), the original and rebuilt Ford automatic transmission, and the original 390 that came from the car is out and ready to be rebuilt. It does have some rust repaired in the original quarters, that I would replace(solid quarters come with it), it also has some rust in the original drivers door that will need to be fixed. I do have a clean and clear title that is ready to transfer in to your name.
I can't even begin to list all of the details, nor do I want to. Your best bet here is to get a hold of me and set up a time to stop by and see everything that's here. The price may seem high when you compare this to other 1966 Ford Galaxie project cars, but what they don't have is the intense collection of extra parts that come with this car. Take a look at the pictures, and I have more pictures... there are so many extra good parts, extra glass, seats in great condition, center console(although not correct for this car, it is still included), extra C8EA cylinder heads, stock exhaust manifolds, brand new headers, brand new 460 motor mounts, and many many more parts.
I do not need help selling this, and I will entertain trades. Don't waste my time, and I won't waste yours. This car was started by a 1966 Galaxy expert, who grew up in the motor city, with an immense talent for quality of work, so what has been done, has been done correctly. This was started many years ago, but it has sat in a heated garage on jack-stands every since so it's only dusty. It is a blank canvas that is ready for your imagination, to build in to that Nascar tribute car, or the Jay Leno 7-litre copy... I do have some 7-litre stuff that will be for sale to the buyer of this car.
Thank you for your consideration,I am motivated to sell but only cash talks so don't waste my time with empty offers. Trades are considered, but will mostly be held to Ford FE 427 Side Oiler items, Cammer(SOHC) items, and Ford F-1 or F-100 trucks. No restoration projects, as that's the only reason I am selling this car. I have it listed for sale locally, and reserve the right to end the auction early at anytime without warning. If you have an offer, please send it over as you never know how low I just might go.

Best Regards,
Adam
