First off this custom car is simply stunning ---in fact my wife who doesn't get excited about ANY car, saw this one passing by as she was heading to work and she called me and said "I just saw the coolest car ever!!" It has a flawless custom bronze paint job w/a light/medium buckskin naugehyde/vinyl interior that was designed by a local upholsterer w/an eye for colors/ contour and design. It has a carbureted GM 350 V-8 w/a turbo 350 automatic transmission behind it. It has a full gauge set, keyless/door popper entry, a/c, tilt, manual cooling fan and an electric pusher fan to help w/keeping the radiator/condenser cool, shorty headers followed by duals w/long bullet style mufflers w/standard sized chrome tipped exhaust pipes exiting straight out the back and just under the bumper. The '51 has drum brakes at all four corners behind the chrome faux disc rotors. The 18" Boyd wheels accent the nearly new low profile tires. The custom vinyl bucket seat interior has faux painted dash and interior metal trim. It also has tinted windows w/manual regulators and a custom one piece center split windshield, louvered hood accented by the 50's model chrome Corvette grille. The cars rockers are outlined by the chrome plated faux 'lake pipes' and the body accents include: Frenched headlights/tail-lights and antenna which are more evidence of the builder's artistry and the shaved door-handles add to the smooth flowing bodylines that are accented by very mild custom pinstriping. The am/fm/cd stereo system has an amp and speakers mounted in the fully finished custom trunk. This car was built by a truly talented local craftsman---his works rival the custom car builders that we read about and remember from the 50's ...60's... And 70's....Oh I forgot to mention that the '51 drives like a dream and cruises at highway speeds w/ease!!
