here is some things I know about of items I am talking about small items that will need tended to
turn signals and lights work but the dash indicators don't light up for the high beams and turn signalthe truck will need a tune up ( some gas treatment and fresh gas and a fuel filter will do wonders for this old truck,it starts and runs but the spark plugs and normal tune items will need to be consideredthe small latch on each side of the tailgate that secure it closed are missing ( this is something a local scrap yard has )the vent glass on the drivers window need replaced it has plexiglass there nowyou will find many small items for these old trucks are availablegenerally it runs and drive, start, stop, and the wipers and turn signals and heater, the radio all appear in working condition,I'm sure eventually you will want to buy a reconditioned ac compressor and the hoses and get that working the wiring for it is still in plac, the muffler is quiet, I would just plan to service thing, like the tune u, transmission servic, radiator flush, rear differentia, brakes, BECAUSE THE TRUCK IS 36 YEARS OLD and that's the kind of things that will allow you to drive it another 36 yrs, I cant be anymore clear that this is a nice CLASSIC TRUCK AND WILL BE SERVISED AS SUC, it does not appear to have any fluid leaks now that I replaced the valve cover gaskets and it shifts( shift indicator does not work the small cable for this is easily accessible and replace) and steers goo, remember also it has very good tire, WHAT A NICE USEABLE WORK TRUCK OR FIRST TRUCK THIS WOULD MAKE and a great gift for a son or daughter it would be great for a small business or shop truck, and is good enough to restore and take to cruise night
