1979 Ford F-150 Ranger 4X4 Additional Info:

Here for your consideration is a 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger 4X4 short bed truck. This is a one owner truck that was sold new in Gastonia NC and has remained here it's entire life. This F-150 has led a pampered life. It was never abused or used as a "work" truck. At approx 85 K miles the owner upgraded the truck with a completely rebuilt 1977 460 CI engine. The engine now has just over seven thousand miles on it and performs flawlessly. It runs very smooth and quiet, no lumpy cam. I can't stress enough how good this truck runs and drives. It tracks true and straight in the road and has a very smooth ride. I got the truck over a year ago and cosmetically is was 100% original. I repainted it the original Red and Silver with PPG base and DCU2021 clear. That is a high end urethane paint system. All of the chrome on the truck is new. I got original pattern seat material from SMS fabrics and had the seat reupholstered exactly as original. It was originally equipped with a Black/Red speckled rubber floor mat. I opted for the carpet you see in it now. The dashpad, door panels, headliner, and instruments and bezels are all original. That speaks of how nice this truck had been cared for. It is also equipped with 4-speed transmission, power steering, power disc brakes and factory air that is blowing cold. The original AM/FM radio works well as does all 4x4 functions. As seen in the photos, the bed is very nice, a few dings, but no spray in bed liner to hide rust or other issues. The wheels are new 15x8 U.S. Indy slotted mags with the original style Ford centers. The BFG tires have less than 1000 miles on them. Included are the original owners manual, Warranty booklet, and the original owner warranty card with metal tag. All brake hoses, pads and shoes are new as well as the gas tank. This is a truck that you can confidently drive anywhere. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country. It is, however, being sold "as is" since it is an older vehicle. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time because it is for sale locally (20). If you have ever restored or had a vehicle restored, you will realize that the work listed here would cost in excess of $20K. Don't miss out on an opportunity drive an investment, that's right, the mid to late '70's trucks of all brands are steadily climbing in value, especially 4x4 shortbed trucks. Thanks for looking at my truck. Payment must be received within two weeks of auction's end. It can stay here (garaged) for as long as you need to make shipping arrangements. My policy is that if you personally come to get this vehicle and are not satisfied, you don't have to take it, no problem. If you send someone else to get it, then it is yours, no complaining.
