1929 Ford Model A Fordor Briggs Leatherback Additional Info:

This 1929 Ford has gone through a lot of work, but unfortunately we cannot finish it. Our loss is your gain. We've purchased almost everything needed to finish it. The main show stopper now is a paint job, and after that its just assembly. No wood work needed!

This project is pretty much all just assembly. It was never intended to be a show car, we wanted to finish it off to look decent and drive on the roads.

This car runs and drives, and has a legal PA title (!!!!!) and included is a 1929 license plate.

Here's what we've done:
  • Replaced 85% of the body wood with new.
  • Cleaned sludge from engine
  • Replaced water pump
  • Replaced all gaskets, excl. head gasket
  • Painted engine
  • Replaced brake rods
  • Refurbed the fuel gauge
  • Replaced fuel lines
  • Rebuilt the tilly carb
  • Replaced radiator with new
  • Reburbed the steering column (7 tooth)
  • New Steering wheel and horn rod
  • New cap, body, and rotor
  • New fan belt
  • New gauges and chrome cluster
  • All new floor boards and pans
Whats left:
  • Paint job
  • Brake work
  • Possibly new clutch and ring gear (included in parts pile)
  • Interior needs to be done, but it includes the seat springs
Whats included:
  • All the fenders (with completed metal work, but need to be smoothed)
  • New running boards
  • New aprons
  • Head gasket
  • Spare resurfaced head (has been stored inside the house, coated in WD40)
  • New clutch and ring gear
  • Spare transmission from 30 model
  • All seat springs
  • All finishing hardware (door handles, window cranks, etc)
  • Complete electrical harness wired for turn signals
  • All lights, 2 rear tail lights, 2 cowl lamps for signals, 2 head lights
  • Used light switch body
  • Remanufactured (knockoff) aoooga horn
  • spare starter
  • spare generator
  • spare flywheel
  • New Distributor
  • Powder coated windshield frame
  • Powder coated windshield visor

The car does run, and it does drive, and you can test drive it, provided you don't go very fast. The brakes need work, and steering is toe out so its hard to track it straight. But engine runs strong and trans shifts through all the gears without issue. The car cannot be driven to its destination, it will need to be transported.

You see in the pictures the car is sitting on a set of 19s, but we are including a full set of 21s with a set of used, but good, tires and brand new inner tubes.
