1966 Ford Fairlane GT Additional Info:
1966 Fairlane GT390, 4-speed
For your consideration is a 1966 Ford Fairlane GT. This is an original "S" code high performance 390, 4 speedcar. The driveline has been rebuilt by a previous owner including the engine, transmission, and rear end. The motor is very strong and a blast to drive. The car still has its original 4 wheel drum brakes which have been gone over and function to the best of their ability. The engine has an aftermarket aluminum intake manifold and an 850 Holley. Also a nice set of headers. The original intake and exhaust manifolds go with the car. The original air cleaner is missing. The rear gear is a 3.25 posi. The wheels are 15x7 styled steel wheels with like new tires.
This is a very solid driver quality car. There is no rust in the floors or frame rails. A previous owner added frame connectors which look great. The body is rust free and the paint shines very well. You have to look hard to find any previous repairs but you can see some. But overall it presents very well. The interior needs attention. It does havenew carpet, new headliner, andrecovered front bucketseats. The headliner has some wrinkles. The interior is presentable but will need work to make the car nicer. The car also needs some weatherstripping replaced.
In summary there has been a lot of work done to this car. It presents well as a solid driver. It still needs some interior work and weather stripping. Drive as is and restore as you go. The big block 390 runs great, sounds great, and is really fast.
