1978 Ford F-150 Custom 4x4 pickup truck featuring a fresh professional interior- and exterior restoration, insoundturnkey mechanical condition. This is an extremely straight truck with beautiful bodywork and fresh two-stage paint in factory-original Bright Red finish. Beautiful exterior Ranger side trim package, very nice under hood and wheel well opening detail to balance out the restored appearance. The interior has been very nicely restored, including new paint throughout, new seat upholstery, headliner, carpet, restored door panels, visors, etc. Only 95,100 2-owner original miles, equipped with the original 351 V8 automatic transmission drivetrain, including power steering and power brakes. The truck runs very well and drives nicely, with the 4-wheel drive system working as it should. Restored original Ford steel wheels with factory hubcaps and almost new BF Goodrich Radial All Terrain KO tires look just right. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc.

Mechanically very sound, the truck runs well without any overt issues. The 4x4 transfer case operates as it should, as do the locking front hubs. The automatic transmission shifts well and smoothly; no issues. The truck has had the brake system recently rebuilt, and brakes well. The wheels are restored original Ford steel factory wheels with original hubcaps, and almost new 31” BF Goodrich Radial All-Terrain KO tires; some of the best tires available. The suspension features a small 2” front lift to level the ride. She's very easy to drive with the genuine power steering, not the “power assist” found on older Fords... anyone can drive this truck. Newer battery, freshly-serviced cooling and charging systems, new belts, hoses, filters, fluids, oil, etc.

The body is as straight as you will find anywhere, I would say as straight as when she was brand-new with the exception of one small ding on the top of the tailgate. No rust-through at all to be found; all surface rust was properly treated with POR 15 and/or RustMort prior to bodywork. Every piece of exterior trim as well as the front and rear glass was removed prior to bodywork, and all was cleaned and restored prior to reinstallation. The paint is new and beautiful, the grill surround, grill, and headlamp surrounds restored, new wheel lip moldings installed, a new windshield, and new window gaskets all around. New tail lamp lenses and side marker lamps compliment the bright new paint. The doors feature new interior felts and exterior wipers, new window channel felt, new door weatherstrip, etc. The underside of the hood was prep'd and painted to match the body, with new hood bumpers. The bed is also very nice without rust issues, and features a new high-end Raptor spray-in bed liner, installed prior to paint. A very nice tailgate and aluminum trim round out the body.

The interior was completely removed prior to the interior sheet metal being prepared and fully repainted, including the dash, inside of doors, door jambs, ceiling, area behind seat, floors, etc. The dash pad is uncracked and restored, and the dash filler panel is also restored. The pedal assembly has been cleaned and painted, with new pedal pads. The carpet is new, as is the seat upholstery. The visors and clip are restored with a new headliner, and the door panels have also been restored. The interior also features a new stainless screw trim kit, restored door sill plates, etc. Basically the interior looks very close to as-new condition. All the gauges are in working order, and the wipers, heater, lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc. are all in proper working order.

The engine bay and wheel wells have been nicely detailed and add to the overall clean and new appearance of the truck.

The truck has a total of only 95,100 original miles, has had two previous owners, and has been maintained and well cared for, having been used only as a weekend- and recreational truck since new.

While not a nut-and-bolt “Concourse” restoration, this truck has been professionally restored, and is absolutely gorgeous... she's going to make someone very happy! Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc.

While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 39-year-old classic truck, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied.

Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction’s end via deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer.
