1979 Ford Ranchero 500 Additional Info:

Schroeder Motors is proud to offer this....kinda cool ole' Ranchero 500 for sale.

First off,...if it didn't drive so good,...we never would have bought it....So,...we like the ride and drive aspect. AND....it has Cold Air Conditioning!

Now,...with those two statements out of the way.....lets talk about the Bones first.

The sheet metal is actually pretty nice,...so are the floors and frame rails. I've taken some photos,...so please look favorably on the "Bones"....we like them.

Now,..there are some dings and scratches,...I've pointed those out too...so please see all the pictures.

The Drive Line.

Healthy 400 V8....the motor is quiet with no odd noises...it's powerful,...well tuned and ready to drive anywhere. The transmission shifts perfectly,..no odd vibrations in or out of gear.

The engine bay is clean,...the belts and hoses look newer.

I like the way this car/truck runs and drives. The steering is precise...the front disc brakes make for easy stops...it's a Driver.

The Exterior.

Okay,...the Paint....is dull with only a hint of a shine. It almost looks like a Flat Paint job,..so in that respect,...it's kind of a cool look.

The chrome and stainless trim are most likely original and showing a healthy dose of patina...also kind of cool.

I especially like the smathering of glue oozing from the passengersbody side molding trim on the rear quarter....you don't see that too often:)

Also,...the mismatch mirrors are pitted,..but they still reflect images like they're designed to and anchored very well to the doors:)

The American Racing Polished wheels shine wonderfully,...no scuffs or discoloration on any of them. The tires are 90% tread life remaining. So,...between the wheels and the stainless dual exhaust pipes out the back,....there is some sparkel in this ole' Ranchero.

The Interior.

Reasonalby nice for it's age....the seat sits firmly...so it's comfortable. All interior surfaces have a 38 year, natural vibe to them...so,...not unsightly,...but nice overall for the age.

The A/C is cold and all of the fan speeds work,...so that great. The radio works,...but sounds crappy. The windshield wipers operate....all in all,...a decent place for you and your passengers.

In Closing.

There's a lot to like about the truck...there's a lot to work with....but then again,...it's also cool enough to drive it like it is. You'd still get the same amount of "Looks" & Thumbs Up if it had a new paint job on it....people seem to like it how it is. If you were to paint it,...there's no body work that would need to be done,...just scuff and paint. But again,..leave it like it is.

Listen,...we all need a truck around the house....If you're going to Lowes or Home Depot,...go in something cool!

Schroeders is located 1 mile south of I-70 on Hwy. 94 in St. Charles, Missouri....only 10 minutes from the St. Louis International Airport. Come on out to see and drive it.....and if you're flying in....I see no reason why it would not drive back,...no matter the distance.
