1966 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:

I have a 66 GT Mustang, "A" code car, with a4 speed, disc brakes,AC, Power Steering and Rally Wheels. It is a 2 owner car that has been sitting in a garage sense 1976. and is remarkable Rust free and original car. It has the correct date coded carb, the Kelsey Hayes wheels are stamped 1965, the motor still has the tabs on the exhaust manifolds and rear brake drums still have the metal tabs on them indicating they most likely have NEVER been off the car.

This car was built in Detroit, Sept of 1965, sold here in Louisville where it has spent it's entire life. Somebody undercoated the car like I have never seen and as such it is flaking off in large chunks, but it has protected the front and rear frame rails as well as the floor boards as they appear to be RUST

In addition to appearing to be remarkable rust free the interior is complete with the drivers seat being the only one with a tear. It could be cleaned up and reused or simply replaced. The doors DO NOT sag and shut tight, windows roll up and down with ease, clutch has pressure and the wiring for the center console is there as well.

The Bad - the previous owner tried to replace the quarter and it needs to be redone. It's not welded in rather it's just screwed on in a couple of places. The tail pan needs some attention as well as various spots on the body with dings. The car was running when parked in 1976 butthe owner pulled the plugsand as such the motor will not turn over by hand but I have filled the cylinders with trans fluid so we will see what happens. THE ONLY RUST FOUND IS IN THE LOWER DOORS AND FRONT FENDERS.there may be other rust spots but I have not seen them. Missing parts are the GT grill, the rally tac, console and lower windshield trim..

Car is cross listed and for sale locally and may be pulled early if sold. Questions please Email me atnason.tony @ gmail.com
