1967 Ford Mustang Additional Info:

In a world filled with Mustangs, this stunning 1967 convertible restomod stands out with an awesome Shelby-esque look, a top that goes down, and plenty of detailing. It was treated to a fresh build that includes stunning paint, a few notable body mods, and a thumping small block V8 backed by a 5-speed manual gearbox. Yeah, this one's as slick as it looks. This Sonic Blue attack craft started out like any Mustang and lived a long, happy life down south, so when they stripped it to a bare shell for the build, there was no rust repair required. All the trim and badges were shaved and the holes welded up, then the whole body got a metal glaze finish that was sanded and smoothed until you could see yourself in the quarter panels. Two-stage urethane paint gives it that forever shine and lots of careful assembly means it fits together beautifully. A small hood scoop was added and looks quite slick on the early Mustang, and you'll note things like the side scoops, Shelby rear end, and Thunderbird taillights all give it that Shelby vibe. Chrome bumpers went on and glitter against the electric blue paint and the famous Shelby coiled cobra emblem was installed on the fenders, just in case someone mistook it for something else. There's also a billet grille up front, a set of stripes on the rockers, and a blacked-out gas cap in back just to make it look unique. The interior is pure Mustang with very few deviations from stock. Black seat covers look brand new, and the freshening also includes new carpets and a brightly finished dash that looks great. A wood-rimmed steering wheel warms it up a bit, but it still looks pretty industrial with a 5-speed shifter but no console. The instrument panel is in great shape, and a powerful A/C system lives under the dash and is powered by modern hardware working behind the scenes. The original radio is gone, replaced by a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and it sounds great thanks to layers of sound deadening insulation on the floors and a big subwoofer in the trunk. The white convertible top stows easily under a new black boot and the trunk shows off clean inner panels without any stories.Open that hood and you're treated to a stout 302 cubic inch V8 that was built for power but remains docile enough to drive every day. Rebuilt about 1000 miles ago, it features all the standard go-fast parts, from a 4-barrel carburetor to a giant aluminum radiator, this is one ferocious small block. It's neatly dressed in Cobra-style finned valve covers and a matching oval air cleaner, plus fresh Ford Blue paint on the block itself. Almost everything under the hood is new, including the alternator, A/C compressor, wiring, and other components, and you can see that there isn't much time on the setup at all. A T5 5-speed manual transmission is assisted by a new clutch and throw-out bearing, while the 8-inch rear end hangs on 4-1/2 mid-eye springs for the right stance. Big Wilwood disc brakes were installed up front, while the rear drums were rebuilt, so stopping power is impressive, and it sits on those gorgeous Halibrand-style wheels with big 17-inch performance radials. This Mustang is reliable, fun, and happily trundles around town using pump gas and looks like a million bucks. Fortunately, the price is quite a bit less than that, so if you want to stand out, perhaps this beautiful ragtop is the way to go. Call now!
