1929 Ford Model A Leatherback Additional Info:

1929 Ford Model A Leatherback Sedan **Fresh from the Barn**

This is a true survivor with lots of patina and character. Unrestored running leatherback sedan, runs good, body is in excellent shape, straight and very solid, original drive train, wood in excellent shape, fenders are fair- not rusty but have dents and varies spots have been welded.

Tires all hold air with no problem, however they are weather checked. All glass and window regulators are there, one rear door window is cracked and rear window has been replaced with a piece of plastic glass. Doors open and close nice for a vehicle of this age. All garnish moldings appear to be there. Windshield swing arms are missing, sowindshieldhas beenfastened shut. I have moved this car around the yard and taken short trips to the hardware store with it and have had no issues with any gas line plugging up. Stops fair considering it has not been redone. Headlights work, taillight currently is not hooked up. A new top was recently installed. Gas gauge was rebuilt and new wiring under the hood.

From what I have been told this car was originally boughtand kept on a farmin Massachusetts, as years went on and the originally owner had no use for the car, he gave it to his life long farm hand. That gentlemen owned it for several years until his passing and then soldand has been kept in a fewprivate collections. Unfortunately, I have no documentation to support any of this, but this is what I was told by an older gentlemen who was very familiar with this car.

My plan with this car was to fix it up mechanically to make it a good solid driver, but not change the outside appearance. I was going to redo the inside with burlap(headliner and door panels)and a grey felt like material for the seats. I got as far as purchasing some burlap and then got too busy. I will include the burlap as part of the sale if interested.

With a little bit of tinkering this would be an excellent fun driver or would make an excellent restoration project- your choice.

Automobiles like this at car shows always seem to get more attention then shinny restored cars.

I am selling this because I have too many projects at the current time and unfortunately do not have the time to tinker with this anymore.
