In this world of high-end, omplex built Street Rods, t’s all about the quality components used on the build. This spectacular 1937 Ford Minotti Roadster features the best of everything – from its custom two-tone paint, o its dressed up LS1 engine and its beautiful full custom red leather interior. This classy looking roaster is the kind of car that all of us guys dream about building, ut we all know what it would cost and how much time it takes to build one… so very rarely do our dreams come true. Unless of course you find one already finished for plenty less than what it would be to build it yourself.
Looking this car over from front to back, ou’ll first notice the custom all steel grill, hat was custom made for this car only, s well as the custom hood to fit this grill; can’t even imagine the amount of hours and money that went into those two hand-made parts alone. Stand back and look at the fit of all the body panels and the perfect gaps. This car has it all, rom tight lines to a smooth and straight body. Getting a black car as straight and mirror-like is an astounding feat in its own right, nd the builder’s hard work has certainly paid off. They then coated that slick body in a two tone custom paint job, opped off with a few polished coats of urethane clear coat and some tasteful custom pin-striping.
This Minotti body started its life as a three-window coupe, nd was transformed into this knockout pop-top roadster. A 4.5 inch wedge was removed from the back of the top to give it that streamlined look you see here in the photos. As for other modifications, he hood was hand made as well as the custom one off grill as we mentioned earlier, nd a curved windshield, ide glass, nd lift-off hard top. Another sneaky trick the builder added was a custom set of recessed teardrop headlights that adorn the car nicely. Also, f you look around to the rear of the car, ou’ll see custom flush-mount tail lights, hat also help set this car off from other cars you’ll see at the local cruise night, r anywhere for that matter.
Peek inside this Crazy roadster and the first thing that stands out is a great looking dash display and a well designed interior. The Interior is a pleasant mixture of supple red leather upholstery and hand-sculpted surfaces. With just a touch of chrome on the badges and gauges, nd some fancy design work on the door panels, his roadster just keeps getting better the longer you drool over it. Finally, t’s all finished off on the floor with some higher-end carpeting and custom fabricated floor mats.
Looking under the hood, ou’ll notice an incredible custom engine cover sitting tightly atop that smooth running GM 400 horse-power LS1 engine. The exhaust from that healthy LS1 flows through a set of street and performance headers and custom hand-fabricated exhaust system, hat exits nicely through the sides of the running boards towards the rear.
Standing under a two-post lift, verything under the car is simply more incredible eye candy. Yes, stonishingly, hey even two-tone painted the underside of the car as well...including the same custom red pin-striping here. The underside of the body and running boards are a smooth glossy black, hile the TCI Chassis has been painstakingly smoothed off and painted high gloss pearl gray. Add in a highly detailed LS1, detailed 4L80E automatic transmission with a nice aluminum radiator, nd you’re on your way to one great looking undercarriage that would make anyone blush. Finishing things off under here, hey embellished the underside with fully polished front suspension pieces and a high-dollar, ompletely chromed Heidt’s 3.70 Positraction IRS rear-end with tubular control arms, ide Tech Air Ride suspension and inboard disc brakes.
This Roadster is a culmination of so many quality brand-name parts both new and many custom hand-made “one-off” pieces. It really is incredible the feeling you get as you stand and stare in awe at the amount of time, oney, nd labor that wend into this incredible machine. If there ever were a “head turner and show stopper,” this one takes the cake. Feel free to keep gazing at all the beautiful photos… but done stare too long, r this stunning one-of-a-kind roadster will be gone. Call us today to come see it in person, e’re sure you’ve never seen anything like it.
