1967 Ford Mustang Deluxe Coupe Additional Info:

Hello, For sale is this 1967 Ford Mustang. I have owned it since 1974 but it has been sitting in the driveway the last 20 years. Due to health and bad financial situations need to sell it. Engine block got water in it and is locked up but many hipo parts come with the car. It was originally a 289 2v 3speed manual car. Has the deluxe interior-just like the Shelbys. Brushed aluminum dash panels-the original gauge cluster was replaced and it does not have the brushed aluminum. Has a brushed overhead console with dual map lights. Has the center console it is removed right now-but will include with car but it has been cut into pieces-the radio part is separate from the body part. Originally had the chrome styled wheels-still have the two that were on the rear. The original color was silver and had a black vinyl top. It had been freshly painted to a light steel blue color when I bought it as a neighbor had bumped into the drivers side door-still has the original door-with door tag.

I was always into hot rodding. Eventually the oil pump went out in the original motor. So we took a 351 Clevland motor from a 1970 Torino with an automatic FMX trans. I found a set of 4bbl Cleveland heads with the closed chambers. We installed a new Crane Fireball cam and all the matching Crane components. The Fireball was the largest hydraulic cam for the street-had that cool rumple idle. The heads had triple angle valve job done-the heads were cut for the double springs and Crane Teflon valve seals. We installed the Ford pushrod guide plates, Crane Aluminum Roller Rockers and Moroso stud girdles as we had plans to go racing in the future. Installed some tall chrome Moroso Valve covers-to clear the stud girdles-they rusted some now. Can try to find the head casting numbers if requested-don't have at this moment. Installed a set of Hooker Super Comp engine swap headers and a set of Hush Thrush mufflers were bolted on.

The FMX trans was sent to Jegs and they installed the TCI Racing rebuilt kit which included racing clutches and disks. It is a semi-manual kit-can be shifted manually or automatically-can also manually down shift it. We found a 9" posi rearend from a GT Mustang and bolt it in 4.11 gear. Had the driveshaft cut and modified to work and it was also balanced. Also added a line lock kit-the switch is on the gearshift handle.Rear leaf spring shackles and a pair of homemade traction bars-which worked perfectly.

Induction: Installed a Weiand Torker 351c intake manifold-which we cut out so cool air could flow underneath the carb. Installed a Holley with vacuum secondaries. Did a lot of research and modified the carb adjustments and parts to get the car to perform great. Completely redid the fuel system. Installed 1/2" fuel line-even replaced the line inside the fuel sending unit. Added a Holley racing electric fuel pump. A Fram canister style fuel filter at the tank. A Moroso cool can sits in the orginal; battery location. A Moroso fuel filter and Holley Racing fuel pressure regulator-adjustable-at the carb.

Ignition: we went the Mallory Unilite System. Mallory Coil and an amplifier. Installed a Moroso rev limiting tac inside the car-fully adjustable. Also has an oil pressure guage installed. Installed dual batteries in the trunk-Used OO cable. I swapped the original hood-which had the turn signals in it for the hood it has now. It originally had a hugmongous fiberglass hood scoop-hood has holes for the original scoop-will include the scoop with the sale. We installed a hood scoop from a 68 Torino GT-it has a section which was cracked. There are no hood hinges but has three hood pins to keep the hood on. Hood liftsoff-easier to work on.

Car doesnot have power steering-it just robs power? We installed Monroe coil over shocks up front to handle the extra weight of the Cleveland motor. They keep the front lifted some and it steered great even with no power. Has manual brakes up front. Air Shocks in the rear. Have a folder of receipts and includes several racing decals.

Interior-front bucket seats have splits in the material. Backseat looks great. Passenger side door panel is off as the latch is having problems. Headliner has tears. Front dashpad is very warped.

If any questions or need photos let me know. Car has sat for over 20 years. Frame is intact but would assume it will be needing work. Front wheels are locked up-not sure about rear. Tires all hold air for a few minutes.

Hello today was underneath the car. The headers have both rusted away. The floorboards had aluminum patch panels added 20 years ago so floorboards will need replaced, Would also suspect the frame rails are very weak. Car also has B+M Holeshot Torque converter. Also found all the center console pieces-except the sliding door. Found the original clutch pedal assembly and pedals. Have two medium sized boxes of parts which are included.
