"Derelict" Look - Yes, it's really meant to appearold & beat-up!

I’m often asked where we find these nice old rigs. A good friend of mine cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W halls and the back alleys of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a car door a mile away… He even notices when a vehicle is driving down the road with a turn signal on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when he passing a car or truck with metal bumpers. If you’re in the market for a fun vintage daily driver please give this half-ton truck your kind attention. You’re also welcome to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the eBay listing. My name is Mark and I can be reached at 206/914-117 for either calling or text.

CONDITION:
Several weeks ago a call came in from a Seattle film production company. They’d used this pickup in a recent video and wanted it off the books and out of their storage area. I quickly obliged, loaded it on one of our trailers and then proceeded to use it as my daily driver for the next week (if you follow our Ebay auctions you know I’ve got a real soft spot for old pickups). Truly, it’s a nice, vintage rig! I take great pride in the vehicles we sell and feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here is a list of the good and also small things possibly needing attention:

“Derelicting” an old vehicle is becoming quite common. I think it started with the first gen VW Beetle crowd and has now spread to many other older vehicle types. Basically, the entire body (and interior of the bed) were scuffed and clear coated to seal in the existing flaws and keep it looking this vintage for many more years. Very, Very cool! Stand 20 feet away, and you’d think it’s just another ol’ truck, but come closer and it’s amazing how shiny it is!A new chromerear bumperand a nice B & M floor shift were added after the standard-clutch-to-automatic transmission conversionas well. The stock factory rubber floor mat is new. It’s covering a galvanized replacement driver’s floor pan. Ideally, the next owner should do the same to the passenger side sometime in the future as it’s quite far gone. Pretty easy to have done. I’d likely do the section ahead of both doors at the same time to solidify everything. You don’t need to be in a hurry though, it’s been this way for a few generations!

One turn of the key and the strong 302 cubic-inch V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal when cold. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should with NO slippage. No power steering here, but I haven’t missed it! The brakes are strong, even a bit touchy, and tend to pull just a bit to the right. The old-school Centerline wheels add to the vintage look and are straight and true. The tires are OK, but are old. You'll notice in the pics that the shocks and most of the exhaust system have been replaced/upgraded with a true dual exhaust (including the manifolds and their always-pesky head bolts). According to the immediate past owner, the carburetor was rebuilt less than a year ago as well.

Take another look at my interior shots. The original seat is unexpectedly comfortable and has only one split as pictured in the material. The original sun visors were just replaced. Last year the cab ceiling was insulated and the headliner redone. Most mid-sixties F-series had only a few gauges in the cluster. These arethe full-complement factory original stock meters (some are a bit intermittent) but that's OK becausethe pod also hasthe redundant "dummy lights" for oil & amps. The driver’s door still has a zippered storage pocket, but none on the passenger side. I’m quite impressed with the condition of the dash gauges. They seem as clear and bright to me as the day this rig left the Kansas City plant back in July, 1966 heading to our Seattle District Sales area. No doubt, this F100 Custom is fun to drive and has years of service yet to render!

I always encourage folks to stop by my Auburn Washington warehouse (by appointment) to inspect, drive and make an offer. Please BID WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a decent truck from a respected Ebay Seller. While we always sell vehicles on an “as-is, where-is” basis, my goal is being sure you’re happy with your purchase - and your dealings with me – with the hope that you’ll be back again for one of our future vehicle auctions.

Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, I require Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions to call or email before placing a bid. If we don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. The phone number to talk directly to me, as outlined above, is 206/914-1173. Please feel free to call any time during the auction. My name is MARK.

A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:

A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s conclusion. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the car later -- You’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.

If you decide to have the truck shipped home, there are scores of companies to choose from. I have vehicles transported out regularly and suggest that you get a bid from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). They're EBay’s preferred company and will give you a fair quote. Call them directly at (888) 817-6203. Give the phone rep my affiliate number (2362642) and they can pull up all our information for station-to-station or even door-to-door quotes. For West Coast buyers, I have a good, economical transporter we regularly use for Portland, The Bay area and down to Los Angeles.

You might also get bids from the U-Ship.com website. You’ll be able to choose a transport broker from multiple offers. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 (Auburn, Washington). The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER.

The pickup can be stored free-of-charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day.
