1926 Ford Model T Additional Info:

This car was built using a body created by the late Paul Larson who found the original boat tail in a field near a race track in Clear Lake Idaho. The original body was steel and squashed and although badly rusted he restored it enough to get all the dimensions to recreate a couple duplicates. We purchased this body from Paul at the Model T Birthday Party in Richmond IN. in 2008. Paul stated that he made 2 boat tailed bodies and a few more with no lower skirts and no boat tails. These had exposed gas tanks on the rear deck. The one we purchased was named the American Eagle and had a large computer vinyl decal on the cowl and the name "American Eagle " on each side. I have copies of the decal s but when repainting the body I removed the originals that were copied from the car he found. Supposedly the original car raced until late 1930's the left behind the race track in the brush.
This steel body was fitted to a 1926 frame that has Laurel front spring mounts and a "Z'd" rear bracket set. Front spring has reversed main leaf. Frame, axles and components selected for this project were almost rust free prior to sandblast and black urethane enamel painting. Front end is rebuilt as is rear end using roller bearing thrust washers & 11 tooth pinion, leak proof seals & caps.. Driveshaft has "Fun Projects" Roller bearing set. New brakes & Equalizer kit from "Don Lang". Steering has APCO adjusters fo easy adjustment. A custom split wish bone set up is installed for safety and stability. Provides lots of adjustment for front axle location.

Gas tank is about 10 gallon with electric fuel pump and adjustable pressure regulator. This car has only been driven about 100 miles a yr since completion in 2014. Tires are like brand new. Rare and correct "MACBETH 8 1/8" headlamp lenses in blue rather than the standard green were found and installed with new reflectors and 12V bulbs. The windshield is a cut down and modified from a 1926 Chrysler roadster as it closely matches pictures of Paco windshields. The blue dot tail lamps do have brake lights installed.
