1991 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:

For sale by private owner is this great looking 1991 Mustang GT 5.0L V8 convertible.

I love this car, however I simply have too many vehicles and I need the garage spacefor a new one that has just arrived. I would keep this car forever if I only had more indoor storage space.
Please study the photos provided as they are to be considered the major part of the item description. Please also read the entire listing, every word, so we are both on the same page.
There were 3 different reds available on Mustangs in 1991, and this is my personal favorite, "Medium Red".Not too bright, not too dark, just right. It is also the rarest produced for the 1991 model year: Out of 8,852 (total) GT convertibles, only 360 were Medium Red (color code "EM"). I searched long and hard when I bought this car.

This car gets compliments from strangers all the time.

Fuel-injected 5.OL "High Output" V-8 engine and 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission.

**Runs great, drives greatand shifts great**

Some recent maintenance and upgrades include: New water pump, new fuel pump, new battery, new DynoMax stainless steeldual exhaust (sounds fantastic - slightly louder than stock but nice and mellow), newradiator fan, new tune-up and new 17" Cobra replica alloy wheels with new 245/45/ZR-17 tires. Fresh radiator flush and oil change within the past month, and new wiper blades.

Now that it's over 25 years old it qualifies for Historic Vehicle plates and much cheaper "Collector Vehicle" insurance available through several sources.

This is the time to grab one of these - prices are going up on Fox bodies and it will never be any cheaper than you can buy it for right now. Yes it's a fun car, but also an appreciating asset.

Recently passed State Inspection.

This carhas always been garaged it's whole life.

Driven sparingly on nice days only, never in saltand never even in rain as far asI know.

Power top is in good condition and works well. Features glass rear window and original red boot cover.

A/C has been converted to R134a, and blew cold as recently as last summer (one year ago), however I tried it again this past weekend and it is not blowing cold now. I would bet a dollar it just needs a Freon charge, but I am not a mechanic so I cannot say for sure.

Cruise control works.

Stereo is a newerBlaupunkt CD with good power and sound. It also has a removable faceplate you can take with you for extra security.

Interior is nice with no cracks in the dash and the steering wheel leather is in really nice condition. Note the buttons on the steering wheel are like new, the wording is not worn like on so many of these. The carpet is like new. The seats feature adjustable side supports, power lumbar adjustment and thigh supports that can extend out for more comfort and support - a great feature.

The sunvisors are missing. They have been gone all these years I've had the car and I have never missed them, but you need to be aware. I'm sure they are easy to get from a Mustang catalog or salvage yard, and you could use either red or black and probably from any year from 1979 through 1993.

There is some kind of alarm installed on the car. I don't know any details but there is a remote on the keychain which has always had dead batteries since I've owned it. I have never looked into it because the car has spent every night secured indoors.

An original 1991 Mustang sales brochure book will be included with the car. Interesting note from the brochure - the ’91 model year convertiblesfeature a redesigned top that sits lower (when lowered) than previous years, greatly improving visibility.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The small rear "quarter windows" are not working with the buttons, but can be raised and lowered by hand. Apparently this is a common issue with these cars. I think I can hear the motors running.
The main door power windows work fine, both driver and passenger.
Right now I have all 4 windows (and the top) "up" so it is ready to go in the event the buyer wants to have the car shipped to them.

The miles stated are accurate as of this listing, however may go up a little. Sometimes I take the kids to Steak n Shake in it. I will not take any extended road trips with this car while it is listed for sale, so you can be confident the miles will remain within let's say 100 of the current reading.

A note about the AutoCheck report: Although it states 4 owners, that is not really accurate as it was transferred among just one family prior to me buying it a few years ago. It was always garaged and pleasure driven on nice days only. Also the "minor issue" accident that is reported, I was told was a minor bump in a parking lot about 20 years ago that only damaged the front bumper (and of course got fixed). I believe the rest of the car to be original paint. It takes a wax job beautifully, but in the pics it is NOT freshly waxed. The pics are current, just a few weeks old, but I have not waxed the car for about a year. It just stays looking that nice.
To be clear: I am not trying to portray this as a perfect car, and you should not expect a perfect car. It has not been sealed in a bubble for a quarter century, just a very nice older car that still gets looks and compliments almost every time it gets driven.

SHIPPING: I have shipped several vehicles over the years (both bought and sold) and never had any problems. You should be able to get this car shipped for just a few hundred dollars, depending on distance from St. Louis of course. Free quotes can be found at MOVECARS.COM or USHIP.COM

My location in the middle of the country means good access pretty much all over. I will be happy to work with your trucker and be flexible as far as meeting up, but you will need to arrange the shipping. All costs related to shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.

TERMS: $250 deposit is due through PayPal within 24 hours of purchase, with the balance due within10 days. Absolutely no checks. Serious buyers ONLY, zero tolerance for playing games.

I am more than willing to consider reasonable offers, but please don't insult me.

Thanks foryour interestand feel free to ask any questions through the "Ask Seller a Question" links found within this listing. I will respond promptly.
