1966 Ford Fairlane Additional Info:

I have for sale a 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL Convertible that I would like to says it has been reconditioned instead of rebuilt. The car has all the original metal and glass that it came with from the factory. It has not been cut on at all and has no rust or Bondo. The car has Candy Apple Red paint and Red interior with a new Off-white top. I still have the original top that is in perfect shape that will go along with the car if the buyer wants it. This car is a (ALL MATCHING NUMBER CAR) All work has been done by myself and documented with pictures during reconditioning. The V/8 289 engine was completely rebuilt by Glen Berry Machine Shop here in De Soto. He is well known in this area and the surrounding areas for his expertise in Ford products. The Interior was redone by Arch Classic Auto Interior also here in Desoto and new carpet installed. All interior work is period and model fabric correct. All dash work was sent out and re-chromed and is shiny in new condition and the Factory installed AM radio works well. The C4 automatic was completely gone through and refreshed by Austin Automatic Transmission Service also in De Soto. All underneath suspension was checked and whatever was needed was replaced as was Power brake booster, master cylinder and brake drums and shoes. This vehicle took 3rd place this year at the ALL FORDS SHOW in St Louis and was driven there not trailered like the 1st and 2nd place cars. This vehicle shows very well and is a real head turner. This model the Fairlane500XL is really hard to come by and only around 5600 where built in the convertible series. I am selling this car only so I can start another project which will be my last. If you are looking for a really nice vehicle to put the top down and cruise or take to car shows to compete this is the one you need. A car of this caliber could not be rebuilt for this amount of money and is being sold well below N.A.D.A. Classic Car retail price.
