DESCRIPTION:

This is a 1946 Ford I’ve had for a few years and have done quite a bit to it. I HAVE MORE MONEY IN THIS THAN I'M LISTING IT FOR, UT I'M OFFERING IT AT NO RESERVE SO I CAN RAISE SOME CASH. I’ve listed below the things I've done to it, ut please ask questions if I haven’t covered everything. I’m selling this to help raise money for our new church building (www.crossroadsnampa.com). It will make someone a nice little rod as is or you can go ahead and do the body and paint and take it to the next level. All of the mechanical work has been done by professional shops. It’s really just a good old truck with a reliable 350 chevy with an automatic transmission. You can use it as a shop truck or for a weekend cruiser, ut it’s dependable. So here’s what’s been done to the truck in the last three years.

Body/wheels and tires/brakes:

· The body has a few rust-through spots but it’s barely noticeable (cab corners and bed rail support-see pics). It was a California truck before someone dragged it up here to Idaho where it’s spent many years in this very dry high desert climate. Surface rust over an old gray primer spray job is 99% of the rust…I like it as is so I’ve left it.

· “Wheel Vintique” with chrome smoothies gives it that nostalgic look and I wrapped them in Coker wide whites. They have approximately 3,000 miles on them.

· I have a box of things that go with it which include the front bumper mounts…they’re all there but there’s no front bumper.

· I just has a brand new brake pedal/power booster/Master Cylinder installed about 500 miles ago and the brakes have all been redone in the last few years. It stops well, hough the pedal is sensitive (a light touch is required)

FFame/Suspension/Steering:

· We stripped the springs and straight axle off the front and put a brand new set of springs/drop axle (4 inch drop) from speedway motors. There are Camaro discs on the front (power brakes).

· The rear axle is a Lincoln Continental (highway geared…you can cruise all day at 70) with stock springs. We C notched the frame and put the axle on top of the springs. It rides stiffly but I don’t bottom out, ut of course I’m not crazy coming into parking lots etc.

· It has a GM (Monte Carlo) TILT steering column connected to a power steering unit. It’s easy to drive one handed. I bought the OLD 40 Ford steering wheel off Ebay and painted the “flying eye” (Von Dutch) on it…it’s a taste thing but I like it. The button on top of the steering wheel is the horn-which is an aooogah horn (of course).

Engine/Transmission:

· 350 Chevy with unknown amount of miles. I was told that it had been rebuilt about three years before I bought it and I have some sort of receipts to suggest that this is true, ut I can’t verify it. It runs strong and it’s dependable and it doesn’t smoke. I will include all thereceiptsI have for the work that's been done, ut I don't have all of them.

· Transmission is automatic and shifts well…but there is a leak. Last time I was under it I tightened the pan bolts and they were loose, ut it’s started leaking again. I can’t verify where the leak is coming from but I believe in full disclosure so there's that. I added oil today, ut the last time I did was last summer…it’s not a lot but it does leak.

· I just had the radiator rebuilt and it works great…this thing runs fairly cool…never had problems with that.

· Gas tank is in the bed underneath the tilting suitcases.

Interior:

· NEW PAINLESS WIRING HARNESS was professionally installed but it’s been a PAIN to me! The lights work, nterior light works, he wipers work but the turn signals freak out and the dash lights don’t always correlate. Today I got in and the horn doesn’t work. I DON’T DO ELECTRICS!!!! So if you buy this you’ll have to sort it out (maybe it’s a short???? Down in the steering column???). But again, ull disclosure. For someone who does do electrics it may take an afternoon to sort it out, ut all the wiring is new, he harness is new and all the lights and stuff work.

· HEAT…I have a switch and wire hooked up and the hoses are there too, ut the heater gave out so I disconnected it and threw it away. If you want heat a cheap and small hot rod heater on ebay would do the trick…but we have pretty cold weather here and I drive it until the snow flies and the cab stays just fine for me, o it’s your choice.

· A dodge caravan seat is installed with a Mexican blanket over it. It works and there are seat belts which are tight and I’m just too “muscular” to make em fit, ut my grandson and wife do just fine…(stupid table muscle!)

· Gauges:

o New speedo-works

o New temperature-works

o Fuel level and new sender-doesn’t work…again wiring???
