1966 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet Additional Info:

1966, great year for theItalianclassics. Here we have the 1966 Fiat cabriolet.Oftenrefereedto orcomparedto theFerrari250 series these cars are fun to drive and fascinating to admire. Our red and blue cabrios have seen better days.Myintentionis to complete my restoration already in progress which is the black car in the pictures (not for sale). The red and blue are for sale for the very simple reason, I have no time to get them restored.
  • The red car was bought out of Queens 3 years ago. It has a 1200 motor swapped into it that does not run. It has the 5 speed trans and is mostly complete. The condition is restorable but my intension was for parts. Most of the trim is really nice, the grille is very straight, better than mine I think. The ignition block was cut free because the previous owner lost the keys. The floors seem solid but the rockers need work.
  • Blue car is basically a rolling shell. The steel on all sides top to bottom is solid. Don't mind the surface rust, the previous owner attempted a mild resto and lost interest. This car for me is an easy resto. A good body man can turn this car out in a very short time. Also with this car I have new seat skins, a new tan rag top, the hard top goes with it, and I also have an engine for the car.
I also have extra parts for these cars, the list is long but includes bumpers, trim, seats, wheels, trinket parts etc.Feel free to ask questions, Ill do my best to answer. Thanks and enjoy the ride my friends, Bone
Q. what condition are rockers in? A. blue car is super solid, red car they need to be replaced. I have a new set for that car that goes with the car.
Q. Is that price for both cars? A. Yes its a package deal. The blue car can literally be put back together and ran as is. Make a cool rat rod or a easy resto.
Q. What is the history on the cars? A. The red car I do not know the history beyond the owner I purchased the car from except that he bought the car from an estate sale here in NY. The blue car was bought from the second owner who only had the car 2 years in Arkansaswhich is also where the original owner had the car. They basically bought it, thought to use it as advertisement for their business but then lost interest after starting the 'project'. Both cars are the U.S. versions.
