From the 2018 listing on Bringatrailer.com :
This car was acquired as a project vehicle in 2016 and built to run in vintage road rallies. The car is powered by a 1608cc twin-cam inline-four paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and benefits from a reseal, valve adjustment, timing belt and water pump replacement, and rebuild of its Weber carburetor conducted following their purchase. Additional work included a suspension refresh, brake servicing, new tires, and installation of high-output driving lamps. This 124 had been driven 20k miles by the Denver builders.

The exterior of the car is believed by the seller to have been repainted in its original color. In addition to several scrapes and dings, the fender behind the rear wheel is pushed in and the rear panel shows deformity near the passenger tail light and license plate area. A used hood replaced the original following a hail storm in 2017 and has been painted matte black. Cromodora wheels were mounted with 14” Kumho Sense rubber prior to the trip, including the full-size spare.

Two pairs of high-output halogen driving lights are mounted on custom brackets that replace the stock front bumper, which is included in the sale. Power is provided via an external fuse box on individual relays engaged by switches mounted below the steering column. The black soft top was damaged in the 2017 hail storm and repaired with sewing and adhesive as shown in the gallery below.

A factory 2-spoke wood rimmed steering wheel is present inside along with black seat upholstery. The stock radio is uninstalled and the clock is described as non-functional. The 5-digit odometer shows just under 15k miles and is believed by the seller to have rolled over.Though operable, the starter emits a whine when engaged per the seller.

The 1608cc twin-cam four produced just over 100 horsepower when new and benefits from a valve adjustment, new valve guide seals, and a reseal. A rebuild was performed on the Weber 32/36 carburetor, which was installed on a ported high flow single-plane manifold. Additional work included a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, wires, points, and rotors. An oil change and general inspection were performed two weeks ago.Shifting is through a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Rust repair consisted of a battery trayrepair and a patch welded into the floor behind the passenger seat. Fitted with KYB shocks prior to the purchase of the car, the suspension wasbead blasted, repainted, and refurbished with new bushings, upper and lower ball joints, tie rods and ends under current ownership. The braking system was serviced, and the driveshaft was rebuilt and balanced. A new steering linkage and exhaust were fitted.
