1987 Fiat Other Additional Info:

This 1987 Bertone X1/9 has sat in a garage for the past 7 years. I have put less than 500 miles on it during that time. Lots of work done over the past several years to get the car looking good and running strong. Car has just over 75,000 original miles so the chassis is still stiff. I have listed a number of things below related to the car's interior, exterior, engine, wheels, etc. If you'd like more pictures or have questions you'd like answered, just let me know.
  • Interior: Pretty clean all around. Had seats re-upholstered less than 500 miles ago. Door panels have been remade. Power windows work. Carpet and mats are in great shape. Headlight switch needs to be replaced; it works, but you have to fiddle with it sometimes. Other buttons, dials, gauges work properly. Dash has a few cracks towards the windshield; to be expected from a car over 30 years old. Replaced door and Targa Top weather stripping about 250 miles ago.
  • Exterior: Paint could use a good compound polish. Used light rubbing compound on front trunk and saw great results. You can see the shine in the pictures. Just need to complete the rest f the car and follow up with a good wax. Dent in driver's side front; was there when I purchased the car a decade ago. Car has been garaged for the past 7 years. Small amounts of surface rust in door sill where weather stripping covers small factory holes. Dual tip monza-style exhaust and catalytic converter installed less than 500 miles ago.
  • Engine: Engine removed; engine mounts replaced, new belts, hoses, plugs, cap, rotor, SMOG (less than a week ago), new alternator, etc. Car runs very well and extremely clean.
  • Wheels: Car has rare Cromodora Abarth 13x5.5 CD30 magnesium wheels. Very rare...and very expensive (sets of 4 selling for $1,250 - $1,500 alone). These are not aluminum replicas. These are the real deal.
  • Other: New KYB struts installed less than 500 miles ago. Springs cut to lower car about 1.5" as well.
