1991 Fiat Panda Additional Info:

1991 Fiat Panda with a little over 20,000 miles. The car is in mint condition, has no mechanical issues, and most importantly – has no rust. Many Pandas were produced over the years but very few remain in this shape. It is an exceptional example of this fun, happy little car.

This Panda spent most of its life traveling at speeds limited to 25 km/h. Apparently the land of Autobahn has laws that allow for cars to be driven without a regular driver’s license, as long as the car cannot exceed 25 km/h. To limit the speed, the Panda’s transmission was blocked so that only 1st and 2nd gears could be engaged. Also, a limiting electronic module replaced the original factory unit.

Both modifications were undone once I bought the car and now it can be driven as factory intended.

According to the Fahrzeugbrief, the original German registration, the car had two previous owners, both elderly chaps: Gerhard 79, and Peter 75.

Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the Fiat Panda as an efficient, no-frills, practical city car. He also managed to make it charming and full of personality. A car that is a hoot to drive.

I have all the import papers, original German registration, clean Illinois title, and owner’s manual in German.
