1969 Fiat 500L "L" LUSSO Additional Info:

Very affordable Classic Italian. Everyone loves this car wherever it goes. It starts right up and runs good, steers great, stops just as it should.
You need to know that you cannot think of this car as a "normal" car. A typical golf cart will out run it in a race. It can move through traffic on secondary roads but freeway travel is not advised. It WILL go about 70MPH but you could read a book during the time it takes to get there and the car is so small no one can see it when changing lanes etc..best to run it around the local streets and to car shows unless you are a little nutty.

You will see some of these advertised for less money as "restored" but if you look close they are usuially just a fresh coat of paint over a rusty crapwagon. There are lots of things that wear out on these cars, and this one has had most of them addressed recently. New brakes, wheel bearings, kingpins, steeering box, clutch, clutch cable, tires, thermostat and housing, carburator and more. None of these items are free and the cars top notch mechanical condition is reflected in the price. Amazingly, because these cars are still in regualar use in Italy, almost all the parts are readily available from US vendors, such as Mr FIAT here in Atlanta..
This car was repainted in its original color many years ago and still shows very well. There is absolutely zero rust on the car. The paint shows very minor marks from use, one tiny bubble on a rear fender lip and there is a small ding in the front trunk lid. Other than these minor imperfections the car is beautiful and ready to love.
I have enjoyed it, but it is time to thin the herd and the little guy has to find a new home. It has enjoyed indoor storage surrounded by Italian cousins and I hope it can go to a similar home when it leaves here!
