1982 Ferrari Mondial Additional Info:

I purchased this car about 6 months ago with the intent of fixing the minor issues and enjoying it but unfortunately my plans have had to change.

The car just received a major engine out service including valve adjustment, cam seals, cam belts and bearings, new fuel pump and filter, new clutch master and slave cylinder plus flex line, new rear brake lines, with many new coolant hoses. It also got a rebuilt water pump, pump and alternator belts, new distributor seals and gaskets, new ignition rotors. Removed, cleaned and refinished intake manifold, plenum, cam covers, airbox and headers. The injectors were cleaned, tested and installed with new seals as well

It was imported and federalized in California in 1982 which is when the California installed a US legal VIN. It has a clean Carfax report with no accidents or other damage evident. Several items have been switched back to the original Euro configuration for improved performance including Euro ignition ECUs, factory exhaust and cams.

The car is in great shape overall. It runs extremely well, has good oil pressure with no trans issues. Second gear is fine even when cold. It is a bit rough on hot restarts occasionally but clears out quickly. The interior is very clean with no tears in what appears to be redyed original leather and the chassis underside is clean and straight too.
It is not perfect though and does have issues. While very solid, it has a some small dings, scratches, a few small paint bubbles but nothing bad at all. The sunroof does not open. The motor for it runs, but it does not open. The windows have new switches but move slowly. The fuel cap release switch is bad but the manual release is easy to access thru the engine cover. The fuel gauge is inop but the low fuel light works fine. I have not looked at the A/C yet but it's all there so may just need Freon. The air horns need new tubing and finally, the tires are old but have almost full tread
I think that covers it. It looks great, has a nice shine and is a lot of fun to drive.
