1983 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole Euro-spec Additional Info:

Up for sale is my 1983 Ferrari 308GTSi Quattrovalvole Euro-spec. This car spent most of its life in California, but in 2009 I purchased the car and exported it to New Zealand, where it currently resides. The car comes with a comprehensive service history dating back to 1986, and includes the service work that has been done while I have had the car in New Zealand. I can arrange shipping to California (either Los Angeles or San Francisco) at my cost for a genuine buyer. I still have the original Federal compliance data plates, but they have been removed from the car.

VIN number is: ZFFLA13B000044969

This car has covered 135,000 miles, but the car is in superb condition that belies its age and mileage. The bodywork is in excellent condition and had it a complete repaint in 2003, including having the targa roof panel repainted in body colour. The brakes have been completely overhauled, and the all of suspension bushes were recently replaced. The steering rack was rebuilt and had a quick ratio steering rack fitted, and the car has also been fitted with adjustable platform shock absorbers.

The car has been fitted with 16 inch alloy wheels with Toyo T1R tires, and the factory TRX wheels are also included with the sale.

The interior is in excellent condition, the seat leather was replaced with Italian leather in 2012. It has been fitted with a Nardi steering wheel from an earlier model 308, and the original Momo steering wheel is included with the sale. The electric window motors have been overhauled and window accelerators have been fitted, so the electric windows actually work properly – this is a common problem with all 308s.

In July 2002 the original motor and transmission were replaced with a 3.2 long motor and transmission, although the original fuel and ignition systems were retained. The car had covered 110,000 miles at the time and the new motor had done 23,00 miles, so the motor and transmission have done 48,000 miles in total. The engine runs beautifully and the transmission shifts very smoothly, and the cambelts were last replaced at 133,000 miles in October 2012.

Also included with the car are the original tool kits and owners manual in genuine Ferrari folder.

This car is an absolute delight to drive, and it just had a major service by the approved Ferrari service agents in New Zealand in December 2015. It is all ready for a fantastic summer of enjoying this iconic Italian supercar
