1960 Dodge Other Pickups Additional Info:

Up for your consideration is a nice un-restored Dodge Power Wagon with a service box installed. This truck is part of my uncle's estate that I am unfortunately needing to sell. My uncle used this truck to work out of for his auto and truck mechanic business he ran for several years. About 20 or so years ago, he parked it inside a barn up at the ranch he worked on as a contract mechanic on Mt Diablo CA. He put it up on jack stands to keep the tires from getting ruined. He worked out of the truck whenever he was called up there for vehiclemaintenance. The truck sat inside up until November of last year, when it was started up and hauled up to his workshop/play shop in Smith Valley NV. During it's stay in the barn, a couple of the wheel cylinders had leaked (which is typical of these). They were replaced and the system was bled and checked for leaks. The truck has a power brake unit installed and it works well. The engine runs well, but the carburetor needs some adjustment. It is running pretty rich and will tend to foul out one of the plugs. I changed all the plugs out and it runs better, but it will need a good tuneup to run right. I checked the compression and they ranged from 95 to 115. The exhaust manifold has a crack across the heat riser area, but a replacement is included with the truck. Steering is stiff, but is not sloppy. The vacuum wipers don't work and the windshield has a couple of cracks and the rear window on the service box is cracked. The seats are not stock. The RH turn signal isn't working all the time so I think that the switch needs to be taken apart and cleaned internally. The fuel guage doesn't work and the speedometer isn't working right now. I'm not sure the problem with the speedo as I removed, cleaned and lubed the inner cable. The rest of thegaugesare working properly. The heater had been removed, but it is included.
The truck has a PTO winch, but the PTO is not installed on the transmission. It is included, but will need some work. I'm not sure why, but one of the bearing shafts is not adjusted properly, so one of the gears and bearings for it are loose. There is also a roll of new cable for the winch included as well.
There does not appear to be any serious rust issues (IE rusted out areas) on the truck. There is some superficial rust in some of the typical areas on the truck however.
The truck was registered and insured up until a few weeks ago. It was running when most of these pictures were taken.
This truck is ready for a full blown restoration or put it to work as is.
