1959 Dodge Other Pickups Additional Info:

Up for auction is a 1959 D100 short bed. This is a very rare year and even rarer to find as a true short bed. This is a 3 owner from new, was originally the in town vehicle for a fire department in the outskirts of Salinas area of California. The truck has been maintained and cared for its entire life. No rot anywhere, some light surface rust in the bed, but that is as bad as it gets. The last owner had the engine rebuilt before I bought it so it was less than 3 years out from the engine rebuild and hasn’t had many miles on since. It is a straight 6, with a tree shift (3 gears and reverse). Every gauge works, speedometer, voltage, gas, oil pressure, even the horn honks loud. The original radio is the only part of the entire truck that does not work. The truck is turn-key, doesn’t fight at all to kick it over, warms up fast, and runs great. It has had an oil change within 100 miles of where it is now, the breaks are new, and the transmission is great, engine runs strong. The paint is original to the truck, although it does have a few spots where it was touched up. The tires are good all around, matching wheels and rubber. You are welcome to come see the truck in person, and it is listed locally so the auction may end if it is sold. If you want any extra pictures please ask, I will be more than happy to send them to you. This is a clean titled truck, it is registered and there are no back fees at all.

Do not bid if; you don’t have the money, don’t have space, aren’t serious, haven’t talked to your wife/girlfriend/parent/landlord, or have no intention of actually buying this truck. If you are bidding and intent to retract your bid I will ban you from all my future auctions, doing so messes with serious bidders (yet it happens every auction). Feel free to see the truck in person and take it for a test drive before bidding. Ask any and all questions before bidding. Also please keep in mind I will be unable to make the transaction with the truck from June 23-30th; I will be out of town so the transaction will need to take place before or after these dates. If the truck is paid for in full before I leave I can arrange for someone to be there to give you the keys and title or help load the truck during this timeframe. Deposit of $500 to be made via paypal within 24 hours of auction ending and the remaining balance to be paid via cash or cashier's check (needs to clear before the car is released to new owner).

I would trust this truck to be driven away from my home and drive to your home, but please use common sense; any old truck like this won’t drive from California to Florida without issue.
