1993 Dodge Stealth ES Additional Info:

You know how you wished you jumped all over some of those cars that are now coveted and valuable classics back when they were affordable? Well, this low-production, low-mileage 1993 Dodge Stealth ES is exactly one of those fleeting affordable opportunities. Sure, you may see a Mitsubishi 3000GT on the road or at a car show once in a while, but when was the last time a clean 1st generation Stealth came across your purview? When we talk about 'modern classics' here at Streetside, this is exactly the kind of rare bird that dominates the conversation.

It all starts with the first impression. The Dodge Stealth has one of those great wind-cheating designs, and it was arguably a bit sleeker than its more popular Mitsubishi sibling. Featuring pop-up headlights (in fact, the 1993 was the final year with this headlight design), articulated blister caps on the hood, it's signature cross-hair front fascia, and the one-of-a-kind crescent-shaped 'Banana Wing' rear spoiler out back, the Stealth was such a beautifully designed sports car, Viper owners had to think twice about their purchases when they saw these guys on the lot. And just like it did 30 years ago, it looks terrific when you get it out in the sunshine to flex its Japanese muscle (this was an American car in name and badge only). That's also because the original Blue Pearl paint has retained an excellent gloss and shine, with only minor signs of use proving that the 79k miles put on this car were done so very carefully. And that's really no accident, because OEM '90s paint certainly weren't known for their durability, which further proves that this was always a cherished little sports car. There's further proof of excellent care in the crispness of the body panels; the way the doors close with authority; and the condition of those unique 16-inch factory wheels.

The interior is very nicely preserved and shows very little wear and tear, fixing a nice mix of comfort and technology that's rather stylish for a car from the early '90s. A modern classic means bucket seats with plenty of bolstering and adjustments for an ideal driving position, and the durable cloth interior has held up incredibly well. A middle console splits the front seats and houses the shifter for the 4-speed automatic transmission below, the door panels and carpets are in very condition, and there's even enough room in the rear seat for two of you friends to sit comfortably, thanks to a purposely sculpted designs. You have all the best modern options, too, like R134a air conditioning, power windows, power locks, driver's airbag, tilt wheel, cruise control, and a stock AM/FM/Cassette stereo. So this coupe is not only quick, but also it's an easy place to spend some time. The hatch opens out back and offers just enough room for a couple of light travel bags, which is way more than you can say for most comparable sports cars.

The engine bay looks as clean and pristine as you would expect a maturely maintained sports car to be. Because this is an ES model, you get the upgrade to a DOHC 24-valve version of the fuel-injected 3.0-liter V6 engine that produced a respectable 222 horsepower, which is plenty of pop for a light car like this. The motor originates from the masters at Mitsubishi, so not only is it reliable, but also has terrific low-end power, and it always feels like there's more power in reserve even at highway speeds. This high-technology motor combines with a fully independent suspension, power four-wheel disc brakes, and ABS to create a terrific driving experience. But even for the days when you just want to take a leisurely drive, features like the power steering and four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive make this as effortless as a daily commuter. Thankfully, the original wheels were left intact, and we absolutely love the stock look of those '93 Stealth 16-inch alloys wrapped in 225/55/16 performance rubber.

This is the future classic that has been respected since day one. So, if you were looking for an affordable and distinctive vehicle that will keep turning heads for years to come, don't miss this deal. Call today!!!
