1979 Dodge Magnum Additional Info:

1979 Dodge Magnum XE. This vehicles is a MAJOR project or good parts car. Original T-top car. Good running 318 V8 4 barrel automatic.I bought this car last year to restore it. The previous owner chose to paint over the federal driver door VIN stickers and also sprayed undercoating over the fender tag. When I bought it the title matched the VIN on the dashboard. Upon getting home and cleaning off the paint/undercoating I found that the door number, fender tag and the stamped number behind the radiator yoke all matched, but not the VIN on the dash - surprise, not what I was told. I bought the car in Rockford, IL. Fearing it was stolen I contacted both IL and WI DMV and the vehicle was never stolen. What the hack did that owned it before the guy I bought if from was placed the dash into this car which he had a title to. He then proceeded to paint over the federal door label and spray undercoating over the fender tag. I want to be honest as the person I bought it from was not with me.

It can be easily titled, it is just the title VIN will match the dash VIN.This car is a major project and I am selling it at no reserve. I paid $800 for it last year and have invested $900 into it go get it running good. I have all receipts for all of the parts I installed. New radiator, starter, battery, plugs/wires/cap-rotor/hoses and I installed a 4 barrel intake along with numerous ancillary parts to get it running good. The strong point of this car is that it does run good. I haven't delved into the transmission but it seems to shift good and has a posi rear end.
This car is NOT roadworthy and clearly needs a front end rebuild (next on my list). The wiring to the front lights is basically rigged and they do not work. Frankly, other than the rear taillights, not much works including the windshield wipers. The wiring under the dashboard is mostly there. Wiring is not my thing and after working on it this past weekend this is beyond my skill set. The passenger side window does not open and the passenger sport mirror glass is hanging by a wire. This car was born black with a red interior and buddy seat in the middle. Somebody replaced it with what you see in the pictures. The console is nice but not mounted. All of the console mounts were installed. It is missing some of the seat belts, the interior rear view mirror and has no jack.

Somebody must have lost the trunk key and hacked in. You have to use a screwdriver to open it. I replaced the ignition switch so I had keys that matched and have the new door locks and trunk lock. The idea was to have matching keys. Those go with it along with some other odds and ends (2 barrel intake/carburetor, NOS hood latch release cable as well as some interior dash pieces (gauge bezels) that I replaced. The body is rough with some rust under the driver side seat, otherwise it is fairly solid.

Some of the lower body panels look like somebody sprayed something on the outside (literally looks like spray foam) but it is solid underneath. Like I said, I bought it from bozo hacks. The exhaust exits under the car behind the muffler. If you want more pictures please contact me through ebay and I can email them to you.

This is a NO RESERVE auction. Who ever is highest bidder at the end owns it. Please don't bid if you don't have the money. It can sit here as long as necessary as long as it is paid for within seven days.

VIN#XS22G9R207900 (this is the dashboard VIN and title).
The engine in this car is NOT the original. This car was born with a 360 which is long gone.

I APOLOGIZE TO THOSE BIDDERS WHO ALREADY BID. THE CAR WAS NOT IN THE PROPER CATEGORY SO I HAD TO CHANGE IT PER EBAY RULES. SORRY ABOUT ANY INCONVENIENCE.
I do reserve the right to end the listing early based on the interest I am receiving in the car listed for sale.
