I am listing this car for my cousin. • 1968 Dodge Charger R/T clone. It is a “CLONE” one of 96,100 Chargers built that production year. Only 17,584 of which were R/T models. This car has since been painstakingly restored from the unibody frame up, and brought up to authentic R/T specifications. • The Engine is a completely rebuilt & balanced 1969 date coded 440-cid engine built with the following components:• Stock 440 forged steel crank & rods, .030 over Keith Black Silv-O-Lite performance pistons w/ Moly rings.• Mopar performance 484 lift/284 duration hydraulic cam.• 906 casting heads with street Hemi valve springs. • Holley 750 CFM 3310 vacuum secondary carburetor.• Mechanical fuel pump. • Holley Street Dominator single plane intake manifold.• Mopar performance electronic ignition system with Jacobs’s wires & coil. • Hooker competition headers, dual 2-½ inch aluminized pipe • Flowmaster two chambered mufflers 2-½ inch aluminized pipes with reproduction chrome tips.• Estimated 450 horsepower and will send chills down your spine as it effortlessly revs to 6000 rpms.• The 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission is rebuilt and features a Turbo Action reverse flow manual valve body and 2600 stall torque converter.• Factory driveshaft assembly with rare inertia yoke and incorporates correct heavy duty 7290 U- joints. • Differential is a Mopar 8¾ unit, which features a sure grip "742" case center section with 3:23 gears.• The front suspension is rebuilt with poly-graphite bushings and utilizes the standard VS torsion bars & factory sway bar.• Steering is actuated through a stock aluminum Manual steering box.• The rear suspension is Mopar Super Stock leaf springs with adjustable pinion snubber.• Brakes are factory heavy-duty 11 x 3-inch drum front & 11 x 2-½ inch rear manual drum. • Wheels are era correct 15 x 8 Cragar SS mags with rear P275/60 & Front P235/60 Firestone tires.• Paint Finished in late 99, the car has new PPG DELTRON base coat, clear coat paint, which is factory paint code B5 blue. • The car also carries the Dodge "Scat Pack" marketing scheme of that era, which includes Scat Pack rear quarter window decals and a rear "Bumble Bee" stripe. • Other exterior features include rare hood-mounted turn signals, black vinyl top and correct R/T emblems. • The interior is all black and is restored from the carpet to the headliner with restoration materials form Legendary Auto Interiors LTD.• Notable interior options include Rallye steering wheel,• Rallye dash with the highly sought after Tic Toe Tac, factory thumbwheel AM radio,• Bucket seats and center console. • This car was an original Factory Air car but it does NOT have the compressor, condenser, hoses, or mounting brackets.• It is a blast to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. If you're looking for an immaculate 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, but don't want to pay the premium price for a numbers matching all original R/T, then this is the car for you. This car is truly beautiful and mechanically exceptional. I would love to hang onto it, but time for someone else to enjoy it. I have been the proud owner since July of 2001. The previous owner had put a lot of time & hard work into this car. Upon completion in 99 the car was stored and driven from time to time on the weekends and to regional car shows. When I purchased the car in 2001 the odometer read 32,349 not actual, original mileage is unknown the Car now has roughly 34,400 miles on the odometer now. I estimate that the car has accumulated around 5000 miles since completion. This car is sold “AS IS” and is void of warranty. A $1000 deposit must be made within 24 hours of winning this bid. The remaining payment is due within 7 days after auction close. A cashier’s check or a money order is an acceptable form of payment. I will also accept paymentthrough Paypal. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Good luck!
