1968 Dodge Charger Additional Info:

Here we have a very rare 1968 Dodge Charger factory 4 speed, big block, 383HP 4 barrel car. They only made 259 4 speed 383 4 barrel cars in 68….and this one is a factory white top, white interior, GG1 racing green, center console car. Taking that into account, this is most likely a true 1 of 1 car. This car needs a total resto, but is way better off than most others. The frame, K member, and torsion bar cross member are in great shape, with only surface rust. The frame rails are all nice with surface rust only. The floors are pretty decent, with very small holes in the rear drivers and passengers’ foot well areas. These could easily be patched, or small pieces butt welded in. The trunk pan is actually not too bad, with only the rear center section being rusted out. A butt welded patch could be done here, or the whole pan replaced. It will need the typical rear quarters, lower rear valance, and the lower rear corner pieces. The sail panels, and all around the back glass is nice. The rockers are nice. The hood, fenders, doors, and roof are all nice, with minor dings/dents as seen in the pics. The roof drip rails got crunched, and will need to be replaced. (Small dents in roof near drip rails, as seen in pics). Lower radiator support will need to be straightened/repaired…somebody yanked on it with a tow hook. All glass good except for the windshield. The Vin, data plate, radiator support numbers, and trunk gutter numbers all match. Please examine all pics closely for condition. I have a ton of good used parts for the car including:

· Two used factory 4 barrel intake manifolds dated: 5/6 and 11/68

· A used factory Carter AVS 4 barrel carb

· Two sets of used valve covers

· A used 11inch flywheel

· A used factory Inland 4 speed shifter with reverse lock out

· A used factory center console

· A used 1968 date coded 23 spline 833 four speed transmission

· A used 10.5in aluminum bell housing

· A used factory 11 in cast iron bell housing correct for 68, part number 2892282

· A used factory 11in bell housing inspection cover

· Used 4 speed pedal assembly

· Used big block power steering pump

· Couple of used starters

· Used factory set of open chamber big block “906” heads

· Used factory set of ultra-rare, closed chamber, hi-performance big block “915” heads with the big valves

· Used rocker shafts, pushrods, oil pumps, water pump housing, pulleys, balancers, and other small parts to complete the included 440 engine.

· One used 8/14/67 date coded complete 440 short block.

· Nice condition used instrument cluster gauge housing, clock, and cluster and dash trim.

· Various other parts here and there including a nice glove box door and new white back arm rests

· Have an additional 66 coded 440HP short block that needs to be freed up, and a set of crane cams gold roller rockers for sale additionally if wanted. (If the car does well, I might throw them in)

I am selling the car in hopes that it will get restored to close to its original factory set-up. I want to do a resto-mod, and don’t want to do that to this rare car. I have included lots of pics, and examine them closely for condition reference. The buyer is responsible for pick-up/shipping, and removing all parts. I will do my best to assist. It rolls and steers for transport. A non-refundable 500.00 dollar deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. The rest of the payment is due within seven days in the form of a bank check or cash. The car does not leave until the funds have been verified and cleared my bank. No overseas, or zero feedback bidders….bids will be cancelled. Please bid with the intent to purchase. Not interested in trades, and I don’t need any help selling the car. I will do my best to answer any and all questions pertaining to the car. The car has a clear Montana title (I never bothered to register it in New York since I bought it) Thank you.
