1986 Dodge 600 2 Door Convertible ES Turbo Additional Info:

1986 Dodge Convertible SELLING WITH NO RESERVE
Needs work - I have further reduced the starting price, to allow for repairs. (see note * at end of description).
One of the few convertibles available back in 1986. List price was close to $15,000 new. Kind of a rare car, but not yet in the crazy "collector car" pricing frenzy. (I wish it was!).
The mileage shown is a little over 86,000, but I think it should be closer to 89K, still low for a 33 year old vehicle. When I got it the mileage was arount 2,600, and the prior owner said he replaced the speedometer at just under 82,000. So I had it reset to the 86K figure, but after seeing an older carfax report, I believe PO was incorrect, and it should be closer 89K, but I don't want to have it reset again.
The top has been replaced and is like new. It is a power operated top, you just release a couple of latches and push the button. All the other options also work as they should. Even the "deluxe" cassette player.
I paint is in fair condition, and I have not found anything that would indicate any collision damage. The interior and seats are in very good condition, with the exception of the driver seat cushion. It has started to split at the stitching seams on the bottom portion of the seat, as can be seen in the black and white photo. The seats are leather, and rather than have the seat cushion replaced, (about $360 and no guarantee of a color match) I decided to install some nice seat covers. The drivers seat is power operated, but the passenger seat is not.
It has a new starter, new struts and shocks, new brakes, almost new top, good tires, custom wheels (17"), and has been recently serviced. The air conditioning works, and an extra compressor (still in the box) is included. It has been converted to R134 freon.
Nice little car. Easy to drive, and a lot of fun. Not many were made, and you probably will have the only one in town.
I WILL be selling the car. SELLING WITH NO RESERVE, so if anyone places the bid, the car will sell. The high bidder will get the car, so please don't bid unless you want the car!It is also for sale locally and if there are no bids, and the car sells locally, I will close the auction, but after the first bid, the cars sells to the auction.
The car will be sold with a clear GA title. Local pickup only, unless the buyer wants to provide transportation.
* Important note:Up until a week ago, the car ran fine, and everything worked like it should. But after a recent drive was running poorly. A check at a local shop has revealed low compression on #4 cylinder. It has also developed a loud exhaust note, and the guess is that it needs a new exhaust valve on that cylinder. I don't have the ability to do a valve job, and have run out of "play" money to have it done.
I am not a dealer, and have no way to provide a warranty, so the car will be SOLD AS IS, WHERE IT IS. There is no warranty of any kind.
** If you wish to have the car inspected prior to bidding, please feel free to contact me and make arrangements to do so.
