Lil Red Express 1979 DodgeThis truck is a great beautiful rare peice to own, it is the fastest american made production vehicle in 1979. Came with and still has the original 360 ci 5.9 V8 engine with a 727 torque flight automatic transmission . The Lil Red Express shifts and operates as it should. Glass is in good condition, windows work. There is a small rust spot in bed not an issue ( see photos)As the truck is a one owner vehicle we bought it from Jay J. Armes. It has the factory stack pipe, original wood on outside of truck and in the bed of the truck we have replaced the wood with beautiful red oak. All original interio, seats have been refurbishe, and carpets have been redone.We have replaced the fuel pump, carborato, radiato, also the fan clutch, lower hose and both motor mounts.when we first bought the lil red express it was sitting for 12 year, we had it towe, and is now runnin, we have pulled out tank and replaced the fuel sending unit with a stainless steel one. We applied new freeze plugs, new sparks plug, also got a thrush glasspack exhaust. Breaks work, has a super heavy duty wench, the wench is a Ramsey wench that has been there since the dealer installed it when it was new, never tested it.This is the way you would love to find a old classic truc, you can restore it or drive it as is. A weekend warrior can have the minor bugs out within two weekends, only minor details. We hate to see it go but all great things must go on.
