Selling my beloved 1981 D50. Made by mitsubishi for chrysler corp. I have owned it since 2014. I have 4 of these trucks so trying to thin the heard..............This is a very nice for the age 52,600 original mile truck. 52,600miles (NOT 154,000) It has the mitsubishi 2.6 engine with a KM132 5 speed. There are no leaks and it shifts like new starts perfect when cold, idles right etc. The car fax is proof of the mileage as this is not a truck where the odometer simply went around. There is no body rot on this truck. I unbolted the fenders at the bottom and cleaned dirt that accumulates from getting in the cowl vents and its clean in there. The engine responds very smoothly. If you visually look at the motor while running, it does shake a little but you do not feel any shaking inside the truck. There is no power steering but if you pay asking pric, i will give you some of the items needed to add it. It is simple with bolt on parts from a truck that had power steering. This truck rides just like when new. Suspension feels tight, no loud squeaks, (A very light squeak from front) no clunking. Always drives cool (motor temp). Not your typical old junk truck. Same as D50 Ram50 and mighty max. The truck turns alot of heads and I have been using it as my daily for about 12 miles round trip everyday for the last few months.

Paint is 20 years old but very nice not fading just a couple little rock chips. (UPDATE...... I found a spot in the window frame on the door where the paint did not adhere well. If the truck sells above the starting price a little, than I would entertain having this repaired as its a very easy color to match. )

Weatherstripping in great shape. window scrappers new and windshield gasket newer
Professionally rebuilt original Mikuni carb (Rebuilt due to age and fuel sitting for years at a time)
New fuel filter, fuel pump and flushed out tank and lines new fuel level sensing unit

New professionally installed carpet. Not a junk carpet kit
Very nice dash with only 2 pretty small cracks
The doors were professionally sealed behind the door panels to keep moisture from entering the truck like original
New ac compressor from factory just not connected
All lights work
New Stereo Clarion
New belt molding weatherstripping
Areas needing work down the road:
The radio draws enough power to drain the battery after 5 days of sitting. I have been removing the fuse meanwhile if I park it for more than a few days.
Ball joints need new rubber boots (The joints are tight. Just the boot that holds the grease is rotted) I have new OEM boots to provide to new owner if you request them and will do the work yourself.
Speakers are not too good as any bass sounds distorted. For listening to the news, they work fine

There is a factory new compressor installed. The system just needs flushing and charging.Thats about it!
Very reliable never lets me down !
