1972 Dodge Dart Swinger Additional Info:

I have for sale a very nice almost rust free Dodge Dart Swinger. The body is very nice with original Fenders, rear quarters, doors, rocker panels, wheel wells. All very solid and appear to be untouched besides paint. The frame is equally nice with only some surface rust and no rot. This car started life in Florida with a 318 cubic inch engine and automatic transmission, yellow paint and black vinyl roof. Under Dash A/C was added by the dealer. Sometime around mid 2000’s Car was purchased and shipped to Connecticut where it was driven for awhile then sent to a restoration shop which fixed some trunk rust issues, removed the vinyl roof and repainted it a beautiful Toyota Spectra Blue Pearl and added a stripe to the trunk and quarters. The complete braking system,Steering system (Moog Parts) and suspension ( ball joints, bushings, etc ) were then rebuilt and the 318 was removed and replaced with a Low mileage (according to the previous owner ) 360 Magnum Engine. The seats were sent out and recovered with Legendary brand seat covers and the carpet replaced.(over $1000 cost) The Power Steering box was replaced with a manual box. Tires were replaced also at the time. The project then stalled for a few years and I purchased the car.I purchased an adapter to convert the P/S column to a manual steering gearbox. I then removed the engine cleaned and inspected it and replaced all the gaskets. Engine was then repainted the 1972 factory color Chrysler Corporate blue and reinstalled. The 360 Magnum Engine has a Crosswind Aluminum intake, an Accel electronic ignition distributor with a GM style module under it.Used Hooker Super Competition Headers, serpentine belt set up, New timing chain and gears, and Holley Carburetor. When I purchased the car the spare tire well had some holes so I replaced it and repainted the trunk with black bedliner coating. I also replaced the trunk lid which was less than perfect and unfortunately had my brother in law paint it. Needless to say he messed up the stripe so that will have to get repainted. I have three other projects going so I’m gonna have to let one go so unfortunately this is the one. What the car still needs : Floors, mostly in the front but the plan was to do both sides front to back.Exhaust needs to be hooked up and one muffler has a hole. Gas tank is good but has crud from sitting. Electric Fuel pump needs to be plumbed in. ( Magnum Engine has no provision for mechanical pump) Throttle linkage will need a bracket on the Carburetor. Radiator, hoses etc. need to be installed. Carpet was new but is faded from the sun.Maybe you can dye it. Luckily seats were put safely away so They are perfect. There are a few blemishes in the paint that will need to be addressed to become a show car as well as the aforementioned trunk Lid stripe.Dash is cracked. I will work on the car as time allows as the auction proceeds so some of these things maybe done. I encourage you to see the car in person as the pictures do it no justice. I have tried to be as honest as I can so you have no surprises upon purchase. I did not do a lot of the work so I can only answer what I know. I only ask you be honest with me about your ability to buy the car because I don’t have the time to waste. It is a 45 year old car but it is a nice solid car for its age. With a little more work it could easily be worth NADA guides value of $12,500 The car is being sold locally so I can end the auction at any time.Car will need to be trailered as is does not run and is not road worthy as of yet. Connecticut does not require a title for a car this of this year so the Vehicle will be sold with a bill of sale only.Pm me if you are serious about purchasing and have any questions. I will try and do the best I can to answer them. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hrs of auction end through PayPal. The Balance is to be paid in cash in person upon pick up or by wire transfer within 7 Days of auction end.Good luck bidding
