1972 Dodge D-200 "Camper 9000" Adventurer
Same owner for decades, used as a camping vehicle only hauling a slide in camper. Lots of options, RARE Camper 9000 pkg. This model was Chrysler's way of inviting people to get into the camping movement with their brand new and improved trucks. 400 V8, Automatic, power steering and brakes. Factory cruise control and AM-FM radio. This is a two-wheel-drive truck.
The truck is an absolute survivor in remarkable condition. It has not been repainted, what you see is the paint from when the truck was new in '72! The paint IS very thin especially on the hood and roof. Great patina for those that love that look! The truck is extremely rust free, only one small spot as pictured. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THESE PICTURES JUST KNOW THAT THIS TRUCK HAS HAD ABSOLUTELY NO RESTORATION WHAT-SO-EVER!!
The interior is excellent with the original seat in great shape. Perfect dash and the glass is good, only a few chips. Look inside the bed. A few light scratches but zero rust or dents. Excellent chrome and trim. The truck has a hair over 90,000 actual miles.
Mechanically. The truck starts and runs great. No smoke or weird noises, The trans goes right into gear and shifts great!! The truck goes right down the road and cruises right along at 75! Herer's what it needs: It has a cracked exhaust manifold so it's noisy. The typical of 400 engines leaky valve covers are no exception. Not bad, but they do leak. The gas guage and oil pressure guage do not work. all in all this truck is in WAY above average condition . Check out the underside pictures looks really good and no rust surprises!!
Any questions please call before you bid. Because of past problems with low or zero feedback bidders, I ask that you contact me first or there's a good chance that you're bid will be cancelled. Please just bid to own, $10. incremental bids probably won't get the truck bought so bid as strong as you feel the truck is worth. Trucks and their values are going up, up, up! The reserve is WAY below $10,000. and it is for sale locally. I will cancel the ad if it gets sold locally.
The winning bidder to sent a $500. non refundable deposit via Paypal 48 hours end of auction. The balance will be due in 7 days in the form of a certified bank check, bank to bank wire transfer or cash in person. That's that! Who wants a great truck?
