1950 Dodge Other Pickups Additional Info:

Unrestored 1950 Dodge model B2B 1/2 ton pick up with 4 speed floor shift in good condition. Since buying this truck several years ago, I have replaced the brake master cylinder, brake shoes, all wheel cylinders and brake hoses, and replaced the tires (including spare) with 8 ply radials which now have only about 100 miles on them. This truck also has the somewhat rare fluid-drive, which is a fluid flywheel coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission. This makes it possible to leave the truck inget at stop signs and traffic lights, without having to keep your foot on the clutch, and reduces wear on the clutch disk. The truck has ben used regularly around theneighborhoodover the past several years, and runs great. It also drives nicely, and tracks nice and straight down the road. It is fun and easy to drive, although these truck transmissions are not synchronized, and benefit from double clutching when shifting. Included with the truck are two extra corner windows (one on the truck is plastic and needs to be replaced), the running boards and brackets which were removed by a previous owner years ago, and a spare rebuilt water pump. The truck was repainted by a former owner, and although it looks good from a distance, the surfacepreparation was not carefully done, and there isoverspray on the bumpers and bed sides. I replaced the wood bed with oak and new stainless metal strips. The seat cover is new and the heater is functional and works great. The battery is also new. The speedometer and temperature gauges are not working. Odometer reads 15267, but is not actual mileage. The truck passessafety inspections, with all lights, turn signals etc. working. There are some cracks in the glass. Also, I was told by a car enthusiast that the fenders had been bobbed, but I do not know for sure as they looked nice and balanced. It is a nice looking and functional driver. I can send video links of the this truck if requested by a potential buyer. Also, there is an interesting history of the"Dodge B Series" trucks at the Wikipedia website.
