DeLoreans are known for not being painted,sporting a bare stainless steel finish. However, here are only a handful of DeLoreans in existence that have been painted Ferrari Red and this is one of the very few. This Delorean DMC-12 was sold new in 1981 by Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo, nc. A High-end Ferrari/Maseratis Luxury dealership out of Portland Oregon. It was Painted Ferrari Red By Tonkin at the original owners aka Dr. Nnamdi Emetarom request. Believed to be one of three Ferrari Red DMC-12 DeLoreans in existence. Well-Documented with its original factory window sticker, ocumented factory paint order, wners manual, omplete service records from purchased date,ect.In addition to the factory custom paint this 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is also equipped with factory custom seat covers, loor mats, ar cover and bra. The notorious gullwing doors are supported by cryogenically preset torsion bars, s well as, as charged struts and only require 11 inches clearance outside the carline. The cockpit is done in black leather and has a AM/FM Cassette player. Other features include; air conditioning, ower assisted breaks on all 4 wheels, ower windows, ilt and telescopic steering column, ual electric remote side view mirrors, lectric rear window defogger and electric tachometer.

This 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 has a rear-mounted 174 CID OHC V6 Engine coupled with a 3-speed automatic transmutation. The undercarriage consists of a 4-wheel independent suspension, oil springs and telescopic shock absorbers. The front suspension uses double wishbones, hile the rear is a multi-link set up. This 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is fitted with its original cast light alloy wheels sporting center caps with embossed DMC logo and still wears its four original good year NCT steel belted radial tires.

Probably the most expensive DeLorean ever sold….total price new was 31,374.95. This Museum kept 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 Ferrari Red beauty comes documented with its original window sticker,new car manuals and a host of other paperwork.
