1972 Datsun Z-Series 1972 DATSUN 240Z Additional Info:

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very well-preserved 240Z finished in it's popular and attractive factory color of New Sight Orange. This car was recently sourced from California, but before that appears to have lived in Arkansas. The car's mileage is believed to be genuine, as it's highly original mint condition interior is testament to it's low miles. This rustfree, straight, unmolested 4-speed car is in overall amazing condition and runs and drives extremely well. The bodywork on this car is excellent overall with no noted rust or accidents, with nice fitting doors, hood, and trunk hatch. The car's believed one-time repaint is very attractive and glossy, but upon close inspection it is now showing some age in the form of some chips, touch-up, and some thinness. However, it appears very approachable and useable, and very in keeping with the car's well-preserved look. For an example that's going to be enjoyed and loved, it's perfect. The car's interior is quite remarkable and original. The dash top pad is perfect. The car still shows it's believed original seats, panel kit, headliner, carpet set, seat belts, etc. It's been beautifully well-preserved and the car has clearly been well taken care of all of it's life.Mechanically, the car is in fine fettle. The engine starts instantly on the key with some choke, warms up deliberately with very little smoke, only when cold. The engine is smooth and revs very well. The clutch, brakes, steering, suspension, and gearbox all feel very good and up to the mark. The car's underside presents completely solid and rustfree. The engine compartment is amazingly nice original paint and very clean, showing no issues. It appears that the car had a cylinder head rebuild at some point in the not so distant past. The car's wheel/tire set is very attractive and suits the car well, but can easily and inexpensively be converted back to a new set of factory alloys.Overall, a pretty impressive and original 240Z in great colors. This is a rare find in today's market. This well-preserved gem would be a rewarding find for it's next enthusiastic owner/caretaker.
