Datsun 810 Turbo Wagon!!!!!!

Great car being sold with NO RESERVE, but please read entire listing before asking questions.

I have owned this car for exactly one year and have treated it to several upgrades as well as no expense spared maintenance during my ownership. I have enjoyed the car immensely, but I have recently bought another car and need to free up some space in the garage. This is a totally rust free Datsun/Nissan 810 Maxima Wagon with a beautifully done L28ET engine swap. Lets say that again...

RUST FREE DATSUN TURBO WAGON!

This car is originally from Portland Oregon. This is where the bulk of the modifications were performed by an employee of Z-Therapy named Bill. He did a very nice job with the car, creating his vision of what an 810 Maxima turbo would have been like from the factory. The car was sold on eBay in 2014 to a Nissan employee in Murfreesboro TN. During his ownership, the car was driven, but fell into a mild state of disrepair as he was in his own words “an internet car guy”. I took that as meaning he wasn’t the best mechanic….. In September of 2015, I bought the car, drove it the 80 miles home from Murfreesboro to Cookeville and have steadily repaired and improved the car ever since. When I bought it, the car already had the engine swap done, suspension lowered, front end, steering and suspension rebuilt and Prime 16 inch wheels installed. It ran and drove but needed attention in several areas. I have addressed all of its mechanical short comings and then some over the past year.

This car has a fully rebuilt L28ET engine from a 280zx installed. It retains its original Jatco 4 speed automatic transmission which works flawlessly. Some would consider an automatic a negative but this thing was built to be a cruiser not a drifter, and it cruises very well. She’ll hold triple digits on the interstate for as long as your license can tolerate the points build up before being taken away. Tastefully lowered suspension on correctly sized wheels with well sorted steering and brakes makes for a comfortable long legged machine that allows you to eat up miles with the A/C and cruise control on. Plus, being a wagon, you can bring the kids, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, ferrets, frogs, spiders, snakes and even the Wifey/Girlfriend along for the ride!!!

My cars are treated to unparalleled no expense spared care and maintenance. During my ownership the car has received the following new items:

Spark Plugs, Plug wires, Distributor Cap, Rotor, Starter, Radiator, Twin 10 inch electric radiator fans, Front mount intercooler with associated piping and rock solid bracketry, Gillis manual boost valve, VAM, Bespoke VAM mount and pod filter, Intake/Exhaust manifold gasket, Valve cover gasket, Fuel injection soft lines, Cold start valve, Fuel injector electrical plugs, Cylinder head temperature sensor, One piece driveshaft conversion, Remote transmission cooler, Front brake rotors, Front brake calipers, Front brake pads, Carpet, Front seats, Ignition switch, Steering wheel, and a fully detailed, beautifully clean engine compartment… Geeeez, I’ve spent a lot of money and time on this thing!

As mentioned before, the car is 100% rust free. It is not rusty, it has never been rusty, the car has zero bondo in it, it still wears its original paint everywhere except on the driver side front fender and front door which were repainted some time ago in it’s past before it came into my possession. The body is very straight with only a couple of small scratches and marks to speak of, which is amazing for a 33 year old car. The panel above the front bumper shows 33 years of highway rock chips. The interior is very good. The original materials are standing up well for their age, but show some dirt here and there. The front seats are new, as is the carpet. The dash has a couple of cracks but is otherwise very good. Everything works on and in the car. The A/C is cold, the cruise control works, the power windows, sunroof and mirrors work, all the gauges work great, even the “key is in the ignition” voice box works perfectly. The yellow high beams are normal clear lights with yellow film that can be removed if desired.

Performance modifications on this car include:

L28ET engine, Front mount intercooler with piping and brackets to make it rock solid, Gillis manual boost controller, custom intake/pod filter, 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust through a flowmaster muffler. Boost is set to 10lbs. What kind of power does it make? I’ve never had it on a dyno, but considering a stock L28ET makes 180hp on 7lbs, I would conservatively estimate this engine to make 220 to 230hp at the crank. I don’t generally drive the car hard, but on occasion I’ve surprised a few “sports cars” not only with straight line speed, but the cars ability to corner flat and hard!

The car has a clean/clear TN title in my name. I have two original keys for it that work in all the locks and ignition plus the original owners manual. If you have any questions not answered in the description above, please ask away. If you ask a question that is answered above I will not reply, simple as that. I’ve been on eBay since 1998, I am very friendly and will help any way I can but I do not tolerate timewasters that refuse to read descriptions.

My ownership of the car has been documented on Facebook. Fire up Facebook and search Boosted 810 and you’ll find it. Included with the car will be a host of original parts, a spare radiator, and the original steering wheel. Buyer is responsible for shipping if required. If you want to fly in and drive it home, you’re welcome to do so, the closest airports are Nashville and Knoxville. Be warned though they are 80 and 100 miles away respectively. Bring your own tag if you plan to drive it home. $500 non-refundable deposit due immediately after the listing ends via Paypal. The balance to be paid cash in person. I will accept a cashier’s check but will not release the car until it clears. Trades? No sorry, unless you have a Cosworth Sierra RS500 sitting in your garage that you’re just itching to swap for a Datsun….

That’s about it, good luck, and may the boost be with you!!!
