1968 Chrysler 300 Series Sport Coupe Additional Info:

1968 Chrysler 300 Sport Coupe – 440 with Auto Trans - Survivor Condition!!!!!!

You are viewing a very clean vintage 1968 Chrysler 300 coupe. the legendary and powerful 440 V-8 motor coupled to the great Chrysler Torqueflite 3-Speed Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, AC and working AM Radio. Factory original interior - This Chrysler is a super cool 1968 MOPAR cruiser! Price to sell!

BODY: 100% factory sheet metal – quarter panels, fenders doors and truck floor are original to the car. All trim moldings are present. Original “300” only wheelcovers. Original paint on all body panels. Front grille assembly is very nice – no cracks or damage. Frame is very straight and solid.

INTERIOR: One of the coolest things about this 1968 300 is its 100% original interior. Super nice dash, bench seats, door panels, headliner, seat belts, and steering wheel (no cracks!). The interior is in amazing original condition. All dash gauges and AM radio work. Carpet will need to be replaced due to aging.

MECHANICALS: The car is essentially still factory stock. The car was stored for over 20+ years and needed some work to get it started including:

  • · New starter motor
  • · New Battery Cables (1968 C-Body Reproduction cables)
  • · New Carter AVS carb with electric choke
  • · New Fuel Pump
  • · Tune up with new spark cables

This car has been in the same family since 1968.

Mechanicals - The 440 engine starts up easily and runs. It does blow oil. My mechanic thinks the valve umbrella caps are dried out and cracked hence the oil blow-by. The engine is factory installed motor and very fixable by any competent mechanic. The 727 transmission shifts well. Typical for a car that has been in long term storage the AC needs charging. Tires have good thread but are old. Vinyl top needs replacement.

Here is a video of the engine running https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_rz1Bk88Cw

Body – Paint is 50+ years old and all original. It still looks presentable but fresh paint would definitely be a big plus. The driver’s side floor pan has rust through and needs repair. ( C2C drivers and passenger floor pans are included with the car). Rear quarters need rust repair behind the rear wheels. Trunk pan needs work. (C2C trunk pan is included).

A rare unmolested survivor example of one of Chrysler’s Mid-60’s full-size sport coupe’s.

ORIGINALITY: One of the really unique aspects of this vehicle is its amazing originality. 99% of the parts besides the battery, tires and brakes are 1968 factory original.

  • · 100% Original Factory Sheet metal
